Does it taste good?
I feel like that is a bit part of the article missing
The first one is pretty much down to, as Gabe Newell puts it, “piracy is a service problem”. Spotify came along and (initially) provided a much better service compared to pirating your music at the time. Once they created the market segment, competitors started their own streaming subscriptions. I’d also say the Google music “upload 50,000 tracks for free” got a lot of former pirates to jump.
Now the services are going through the same enshittification that most popular online services seem to be going through, we can see piracy increasing again. Someone will notice and fill the gap in providing a good service again at some point and the pendulum will swing once more
I’m not sure I agree with you on the former, DLSS is pretty remarkable in its current iteration
Honestly if the gameplay and/or story are good enough, I don’t care one bit about hyper-realistic graphics
Hell, the more stylised the graphics of a game, generally the more interested I am.
Games like Obra Dinn, Lisa or Undertale that lean into the graphical limitations of the past are some of my all time favourites
Well given the targets still exist, surely this has to result in greater investment in renewable energy sources?
Like no one sensible is gonna let them get away with “Welp, we can’t do net-zero now because AI” when there’s the simple solution of building more renewable energy sources.
This is a good little roguelike indie game, most runs are done within half an hour and there’s enough of a metagame to keep me interested enough to come back IMO
No, people are just super predictable, that’s why it feels like it has to be spying sometimes.
No one has ever managed to prove this is actually happening and people have been paranoid of this for over a decade now. Someone would have 100% found some evidence by now.
I made it to the end, it definitely drops off, but it managed to hold my interest enough to get to the end
I’m all about this being a new meme template for dad jokes
We’re pretty good at committing acts of economic self harm
Traitors is pretty good TV, I guess
Forgive the basic response, but they’ve yet to earn a better name:
Poobisoft
Top left of the thumbnail triggered Macromedia related PTSD
Depends on what time, for me
After about 10am is pretty fair game if a noisy job needs doing IMO. If it’s music and not obnoxiously loud, that’s probably fine too
Anyone making any noise before that though absolutely should get in the sea
And get great abs whilst doing it
I’m fine with a brioche bun, they’re upper tier buns
But don’t stack a load of stuff in there to the point the brioche disintegrates under the heft of it
That’s why we have the pretzel bun
(Likewise, don’t use a pretzel bun if you’re not gonna load it up, that bun needs grease for balance)
Holy shit I hope precedent gets set for this being ridiculous
Didn’t we already have this in ice cream sandwich?
The headphone jack is gone for good, I would bet everything I own on them never reintroducing it to the pixel line.
The back fingerprint sensor is also probably not coming back now they’ve been using the behind-the-screen style for a few iterations now. But I could maybe see this showing up on the mid-cycle budget pixel refresh (the “a” ones) if it somehow made financial sense for them or perhaps on the fold with multiple behind-the-screen ones.
