  • You can save different identities using one password and then every time you sit down at your computer you can just make up new details for those identities in one password so that when you go to the mall, You’re not always Chungus McGrungledunk, but sometimes they’re going to be offering a free trial to, Faurtstick Blastschish or whatever name I give the email address I spin up for the purpose.

It’s good to register a burner domain that you don’t care about and once you have the processed enough different identities through it simply stop renewing it and sign up for new one.

  • There was a strip mall in Indianapolis a couple miles from my house that had the best cheap Russian restaurant, Ethiopian restaurant, and a Thai restaurant run by my friends uncle. Just down the street from that there is a make your own spring roll option at a Vietnamese salad bar.

Really there’s tons of great ethnic food all over the place but if you are in a tiny town in the Midwest you’ll Just have fewer options.

  • I thought that too. My (now windows only) computer has two M2 slots, I used one for Linux and one for Windows. One day I walked into my office having left windows running the night before and my computer had rebooted and updated, The first thing I did was try to boot into the Linux partition and it did not work.

Not taking that chance again, I now have two separate PCs on my desk.

At this point I just accept that my windows desktop is going to reboot itself and update itself every fucking night. I used to be able to leave it on for months at a time only rebooting when I felt like it and had prepared all of my open projects to be rebooted.

Now I do those projects on my Linux PC, which has to be a separate PC now because the windows updates completely screw up dual booting. Microsoft is such a shit show, I would probably only turn on that PC on the weekends except I need Windows for work.

  • I think even on balance, considering fractions of skeletons in whole people, you’re going to end up with more than one skeleton per person despite some of those people missing bones or limbs.

It’s like one sixth of a percent more than 1:1 if there are 135 million babies born each year on earth, but that’s not nothing.

  • Heller is a court decision not a law, And it will stand until there is another court decision that further refines what the law means. I’m more interested in the word regulated which indicates that the government has a duty to regulate in some way firearms and militia.

Given the politicization of the supreme Court and their willingness to attempt to legislate from the bench, the right wing has set a dangerous precedent here in allowing judicial activism to go free range.

My interpretation of the second amendment without bizarre political baggage would indicate that it requires every state to either maintain or at the very least enable a civilian militia of anyone who volunteers and would have to either arm them or allow them to arm themselves with just about any fucking thing the military can pick up and use on an individual basis.

So I don’t think it entitles YOU to have a tank but I do think it kind of leaves open the possibility of an RPG or almost anything else you could physically carry around as a single person.

It’s reasonably debatable whether or not the well regulated militia part establishes some sort of obligation for the state to support or enable your militia, but given the context of what they were dealing with I think of it as much more than the civilian militia of European countries and instead something more modern even in its original inception, kind of like a precursor to a SWAT team and something that should exist instead of them.

  • Using cloudflare is more reliable than using your own stuff which is still an option that nobody chooses anymore because it’s better to choose cloudflare or something similar.

I’m going to go ahead and assume you don’t work with internet security in any way, have no experience in web development, and have never attempted to provide web application services to more people than you can count on your fingers, but if you had, cloudflare is mana from heaven.
