Its kind of weird because he usually performs well in defense when put in a spotlight having a guy like Doku in front of him. His actual problem in defense is his positioning during counter-attacks when he often forgets what he needs to do or falls asleep putting himself in bad positions.
He is fine and will only get better. The hype was so big that nba obtained rights to show his french league games last year, which is something never seen before. Also he is a physical specimen and having a guy his size moving like that and dribbling the ball like a guard is something everybody were drooling over.
He will develop and figure out how to dominate games with his strengths. What I kind of dislike is that, when you have a player like that, it would be much better for him to pair him with an experienced PG who can mentor him in a way and help him get the ball in optimal positions. Having him trying to figure out how to play and at the same time having Sochan learning how to run a point (which is probably the last position he should play) will hinder his development process.
Chet is having a great season but he is in a completely different position, being that last piece in a team full of young, excellent players with a core that has been together for couple of years now.
Spurs, thanks to pop, are the closest team to European gameplay in the NBA for the last 20+ years. They play with a lot of ball movement, relayed heavily on international players and pop is known to study European coaches and implement it to his game. The problem is that pop is close to retirement so I’m not sure for how long he will keep going and after he leaves, anything could happen. Other than him, its more about players. Nuggets with Jokic are joy to watch, kings are also young and fun team to watch so it depends. I always say, watch NBA more regularly for a few months and you will start supporting some team without knowing why
Thats all true but Darko went second that year with a resume that was nowhere near Wemby’s this year. He would easily be a 2nd pick of the draft.
Not sure who is the best player, I just have to say that I don’t remember seeing a rookie playing an outside position being such a good defender out of the gates.
Well one team will end up with 4 starters returning via 15 hour flights a day before the game, after playing 180 minutes in a span of few days. The other team will have their players back the same day they finish the second game of the international fixtures.

They are not back yet, but they did improve. They didn’t play that bad to start the season, they were just missing a lot of chances and conceding more goals then they “deserved”. This led to a complete lack of self confidence which showed even against arsenal. Good teams would close that game and take a convincing win, Chelsea allowed them to equilize out of nothing
My man dedicated 4 months to horses and drinking, came back and just continued like nothing happened
KAT missed half of the year, they were figuring out stuff and when everything finally fell into place before playoffs, Naz and McDaniels went down with injuries. Still, even Nuggets said that they were the hardest opponent they faced in playoffs. This year, if they stay relatively healthy, I don’t see them finishing bellow 4th seed.
This is probably too much praise, but realistically Bellingham could be on the way to become the most complete player in football history
Offense wise, he is up there with Shaq as the most dominant player to play the game. Above them is only Wilt but that’s due to the era he played in. His defense is average but that’s another story.
