My EV6 GT caused my insurance premium to decrease compared to the VW Tiguan it replaced, but I think that’s because Progressive lumps all of the EV6 trims together. I’d imagine it depends on the provider.

I’m overall happy with my purchase as I find Hyundai’s N styling hideous, but I’m excited to see if the I5N quirkiness ends up influencing other manufacturers. I like the idea of shifting, even if it’s pointless, because it sounds fun. Though, I think both the I5N and EV6 GT could benefit from a 2-gear transmission like the Taycan and e-Tron.
My brake booster just went on my C4 Corvette, and while the car can stop, shit’s nerve-wracking. I couldn’t imagine doing it on purpose.
I am also charging my EV6 GT to 100% every day because it’s a lease. No worries for me.
I didn’t really read the article, but I think it’s worth pointing out a good reason why Teslas aren’t stolen. In addition to the fact that Teslas have tons of camera and inherent GPS tracking, most ‘professional’ car thiefs (non Kia Boyz) are stealing and then exporting the cars to other countries for a profit. Most of these counties don’t have a real EV network or none at all so Teslas and most other stolen EVs are worth significantly less.
So for someone who is stealing for a profit, Teslas are high risk for a much lower reward. They can be stolen, but why steal a Model 3 or even a Model S when you can just steal a Benz, Audi, BMW, Lambo, etc. for a much higher profit?
Your data is safe if they can’t guess your password. They can try to reset it or flash it, but that’s just going to lock it via FRP. While that may sound good, most thieves would probably just toss it in a drawer or in the trash at that point. Keep checking the location, but without the help of your local police, I would highly advise against confronting the person.
It’s very, very unfortunate, but it’s most likely gone.
