  • Well, we should have seen it coming. Reggie was due for one of his basketball terrorist games, especially with last game’s shot chucking. -26? Gillespie and Pickett couldn’t have been that bad. Gillespie sank a beautiful tough 3 that should have been an and one but was out of bounds. AG should have played stagger on the bench with someone like Nnaji playing with the starters since he’s actually been making his 3s.

Just overall poor effort. We even got beat on the foul numbers. If we can’t guard them without fouling, we should have just fouled.

  • starters like AG and RJ didn’t deserve it tonight. Maybe if moach would have gone, fuck it and put in Gillespie, Strawther, Pwat, Jokic and MPJ we might have hit like 4 3s all the sudden. With Jokic taking most of the shots, like he did in 2021 when he had literally no one around him, that might have worked.

This was a bad look losing the game that bad, with most of your playoff rotation in when it should have still been looked at as a regular season game, and against the rockets. If we won, we would have had to play possibly more games in the schedule after already playing like 5 in 7 nights, on the road.

  • You realize with how well Pwat started the season he would have been a lottery pick this year right? He’s only 21, had some solid performances to start the season. But like many others is in a bit of a slump recently. You know we’ve played 5 games in 7 nights this trip and most of them have been on the road. We are down our starting point guard, down our do it all backup to MPJ in Vlatko, and our starting pf and shooting guard are out of place because when Murray and Jokic are the top 2 options, with MPJ the 3rd, then AG/KCP can play the 4th option. We’ve been screwed by the refs every game lately, and we don’t make free throws when we get them at a good enough rate for that not to matter.

This post was an overreaction 100%. Once Murray gets back everything will fall into place, including pwat getting his mojo back, Gillespie/Pickett playing decent spot minutes, Strawther coming in at the KCP/MPJ relief shooter role. At that point Nnaji’s offensive effect will be negligible with the bench unit having the stagger that won it for us last season.

We just need a good rest and reset.

  • your speculated placebo effect or not, the sport needs to be cleaner.

yes, allowing your top stars to dope and get away with it allows these “superhuman” performances that may draw a ton of fans. but at some point, too much is too much.

like pro cycling, many top pro tennis players take PEDs, some legal, some fringe, and some outright banned for any margin they can get.

but the sport is popular enough now that it needs to start curbing this to allow more parity of opportunity. and you’re seeing those efforts now.

Same way, he turned braun into a stud. braun got some dnps last season.

I feel like he’s doing that to gillespie and pickett, too. swapping between each playing backup/3rd string minutes to DNPs.

and i really feel nnaji might still be getting some of that moaching too

  • where’s the problem? Novak has tanked/withdrawn/retired to preserve himself before. its all fair play if it’s within the rules. unless you think the godfather of medical timeouts, bathroom breaks, excessive ball bouncing, and tanking sets to tire out opponents is not fair play. winning a tournament is more than just winning every match in that tournament. it’s everything leading up to and surrounding it
