I’d argue there’s a clear difference between going out of your way to approach a fan in the stands to shove him and pushing over a boom operator who you saw one second prior and pushed as he was in your way. Obviously Adams shouldn’t have pushed over the boom guy, but it seems like much more a spur of the moment frustration done to someone working for the NFL, as opposed to going out of your way to shove a paying fan who is in the stands.
I need to stop playing fantasy
Evans is very like to finish his career top 18 and potentially top 15 in all time receiving yards. He’s also very likely to finish top 7 all time in receiving touchdowns.
The only players in the top 10 in receiving touchdowns not in the hall of fame are not yet eligible, and you have to get to 20th on that list to reach the first eligible player not in the hall of fame (Hines ward) who in 70 more games than Evans, amassed only 800 more yards and 3 fewer TDs.
So when it’s all said and done, i don’t see the precedent where the hall of fame voters “clearly disagree” that Evans career isn’t a hall of fame one. Maybe Reggie Wayne is best comparison? But evans is going to have close to 20 more touchdowns than him when his career is over most likely and most likely within 1000 yards.
I really think a big reason people under appreciate him is because PPR leagues deflate his value relative to other receivers. Like there were people legit saying Michael Thomas was better than Evans, no contest, because Thomas put up 2 seasons of slants from Brees with like a million receptions
I’d rather have a top 10 receiver for 10 years than a top 5 receiver for 5 years.
Bowles brings nothing to this team if the defense is going to be trash and if he refuses to learn basic game management. Canales has been non stop disappointing with the play calls. The decision to not just run it 4 straight times from the half yard line is asinine, and then our penultimate drive has extremely lackluster plays, with the most creative being a screen to Cade Otton.
Running it out of the 2 minute warning was stupid and way too cute and immediately put us in a hurry when we shouldn’t have been, giving the defender a great jump and the strip sack.
Palmer has to wake the fuck up too.
Edit: also don’t forget the phantom hold on Stinnie costing us for no reason too
Like if you don’t run it out of the 2 minute warning, then the edge rushers don’t get a huge jump the next play leading to the strip sack
Fire Bowles
So can we keep talking about that phantom holding call? What the fuck? Why don’t we have a sky judge still??? Really hard to not think the NFL has nefarious intent when it’d be such an easy fix to eliminate these blatantly wrong calls
Was Evans even looking for the ball wide open in the seam or was that play on third and 10 always designed to go to the flat? Like what?
Why is the first read on that play to the flat
I’m just gonna be pissed off this whole game now cuz our coaching is too incompetent to call runs at the half yard line.
McCollun needs to contain there and not be selfish. Turned 4 yards into 9.
We’re at the half yard line and instead of 4 straight runs, we fucking go shotgun
First play with Trask, why not just run it three straight more times. It’s 4 down territory. GET THE ONE FUCKING HALF YARD YOU IDIOT
In my league, the 6 seed is determined by highest points scored out of the non top 5 teams. So your friend with the most points at 5-6 would be given the 6 seed
Achane + Walker + Kupp + Ekeler projection: 56 points
Actual: 10.7
Not a single one of them was projected under 11 points
Most important game of the year for me, i have three running backs all ranked in Justin Boone’s top 10 for the week (Ekeler, Walker, Achane) and they combine for 9.1 points
My Kyler, Ekeler, Parmham, and sadly Achane haven’t scored a single point in over an hour
Yeah as i said in the post, sure evans might not have multiple seasons as a top 5 receiver arguably, but in every 3 season span of his career, he’s been top 5 in either touchdowns or yards, and every 5 season span of his career he’s been top 5 in both. People come and go for their one season as teams adjust, but no one has adjusted to Evans
