FSR from the overlay is systemwide and uses FSR 1. FSR 2 and only available through in game settings normally and is game specific

Not sure that is mura tbh, could be an issue with the picture/camera itself. For what it’s worth, after trying out alien isolation (somewhat dark game) and thinking about trying out the LE I decided to live with the 512gb. The mura (OLED temporal dithering) isn’t noticeable most of the time and can be alleviated with playing around with gamma settings within games. Ordering an LE is a lottery in itself regarding dead pixels, and there’s a longer track record regarding how the Samsung OLEDs hold up over time compared to the BOE panel (could be perfectly fine, could be more susceptible to burn in/ dead pixels down the road)

At least the nice thing is that the BOE panel isn’t “all bad” as people initially thought, and it’s just one more thing it has in its favor when it comes to the trade offs.

No guarantee on which one of the two they’ll do. I’d wager changes are higher that they will replace the whole thing at this point early in the OLED decks release

They all have this and it would be a risky endeavor. Imagine rma-ing to get a panel woth the exact same issue that is inherent to 99% of OLEDs but that also now has dead pixels, or a creaky trigger

Thats for the OLED SD, OP mentioned he has the LCD deck

Check if it’s draining from 100% to about 97-95% and then charging again, if it’s in that range this is normal and the steam deck does it automatically to preserve battery health (so it’s not at 100% all the time). If it’s going below 95% and conti ues to discharge while plugged in, contact support

The black screen when entering/exiting a game happens usually because there’s a fps/hz limit switch between the specific game you’re starting up and the fps/hz of the SD menu. It will also flicker when you change the fps/hz on the SD menu while in game

I feel exhaustion from the back to back is starting to show on the team unfortunately

You can tell in this picture it looks like that because it’s getting light straight on due to the angle, not really a useful image

There are no incremental improvements every game, I think AG is a dud and the sooner we get someone new the better
