Ladles and jellyspoons of the fediverse, I have reason to suspect Linux may be afoot.

Take my angry upvote, you heathen.
Please calm down ComradeChairman! It was a mistake, honest! Our next release will fix all your qualms, please pay $69.99 to see for yourself.
The next Ubisoft game I play will be sponsored by Ubisoft, so likely never. They stopped making good games before I left high school.
I got lucky, I converted from the ol’ shitheap that reddit became at the time of the protests.
This was in the before-times when folks here were more excited about helping people see the FOSS light than they were complaining about people searching for the FOSS light (repeatedly).
I never needed to make a post of my own, there were a good few getting around and a LOT of helpful/insightful/educational comments with a derth of information and sources provided for further investigation.
Once again (as previously in this comment section), I vote megathread.
As someone who recently made the switch (without posting about it woohoo!), I’ve found more information across the clone posts than in any one thread, I second the megathread idea mentioned above.
I’ve made a few comments regarding distros/switching on many of the aforementioned posts and I would happily dig them up and repost them as a comment on a megathread, on the slim chance my experience helps smooth out the entry for others.
No, we should legislate (and then actually enforce that legislation).
I really don’t see any other way to reign in the unchecked capitalism at this point.
This comment is hinged entirely on the assumption that a(more like many) for-profit business won’t immediately make it a money printer to make line go up, sure the tech may be amazing and huge for accessibility but I see it getting almost immediately milked like most other new technologies.
That is exactly my policy, such policies shouldn’t need to exist though.
My government sites don’t work with Firefox (no add-ons), have to use chrome, they recommend and only support chrome.
This is me with code I write now
You know it’s getting bad when this news isn’t shocking to you anymore…
Best one to use after finishing your crop dust:

The discord thing is improving (slowly), also partly it now recognizes Linux games launched from steam, but not proton ones. I haven’t tried lutris or anything yet, but I haven’t booted into windows for weeks now.
I’ve also become more comfortable with Linux in general so that’s likely helped too.
My windows did this to me while I was dual booting with Mint, re-enabled secure boot when I went back to windows to check a wiki real quick.
This is what I did, I’ve been using windows since 98.
I am now on Linux Mint full time, it had it’s teething issues (also not my first distro) but all it took was some DDGing and persistence. I actively cringe when I’m forced to boot into windows for something now.
As I’ve said in previous comments, it’s absolutely worth the effort, spend some time on different distributions, every distro is a little different. On this note, absorb as many suggestions from the Lemmings as possible, regarding Linux and FOSS they really know their shit.
Basically, tread your own path, ask for help if you need it and do it at your own pace, in your own direction. Everyone’s needs are different, the distro list is as long as it is for a reason.
You really do just need to fuck around to find out (what you like).
Second whoever said massage gun, nail on the head.
I however developed an addiction to 3D printing, it’s as frustrating as it is fun but damn have I been busy…
Yes, I agree, I am at stage 3 and stage 4 looks more enticing every single damn day.
I take other people’s trolleys back on my way because I’m not a piece of shit.
