1·9 days agoAs I wrote, the lighter socket in my car stays on forever so it’s not ideal for me (it’s primarily an action cam with no accelerometer, GPS or motion detect so it can’t tell it’s parked and would run the battery flat and put wear on the SD). You can choose various circuits in the fuse box to tap into.
Tbh, well-scripted and curated AI horror scenes make for decent use of the technology that is too uncanny for much else. Of course, stunts like these drive more investment into something that can be used for a lot of evil slop.

The cigarette lighter port is not a great connector because of how big it is, and it’s pretty inconsistent when it turns off between cars (never does in 2007 Škoda Fabia). I replaced the dashcam adapter’s contacts with wires and installed it in the fusebox (accessible when driver door is open), branching off the headlight adjustment servo fuse. No loose cables anywhere.

xkb, try this guide. Of course, backup any system files before modifying them, and just to be sure, add a 2nd keyboard layout as backup and know how to switch between them to have a fallback if you corrupt the primary one.There might be TUI or GUI tools too, probably way more convenient for a one-off change on a single PC.
I just changed one of the existing layouts. Very easy in any text editor, you just need to find the proper name or Unicode code for each function/character.
