I have a feeling that spending on an edge rusher is a forgone conclusion after dealing both Chase and Montez, particularly when you consider Chase’s deal.
Some fans complained that we got what was essentially a comp pick that we would have gotten if Chase left after the season anyway. However, you do not get a comp pick for a player leaving if you spend in FA.
There are a litany of solid edge rushers, including a couple absolute studs. With the money we would’ve needed to pay Chase or Tez, we can now go after guys like Brian Burns or Josh Allen.
Signing OL in FA is not economic at all
Ben Johnson and Bobby Slowik are two guys I’m interested in
This is a Brock Bowers comment
Brock was named a finalist for the blocking award, an award meant only for o lineman.
The track record of first round TEs is definitely worrisome, but I think the consensus is that Brock is better than Pitts.
Bowers looks to be generational, Thomas is mid, and Eugene and EB both love TEs
Wasn’t Latu medically retired at Washington? Pretty rich injury history for such a high pick
Just came across this link on Twitter… it’s been really bad this season
I’d say 2 sacks, a TFL, and a batted pass was a hell of a performance. Not to mention he had a trip sack in his NFL debut that was stolen by a ridiculous roughing the passer
Our o line is so bad that it’s hard to run the ball. Therefore, we run via the pass. West coast offense
I think he’s absolutely nothing like Taylor
I doubt any of this stuff affects Sam. Genuinely believe he could care less
Man… we NEED one of these guys. I’m sure the new GM will feel similarly. Thanks for posting these
