On my first 991, I drove about 80 miles per day and it was my only car. It did great, my only mechanical issue was the transmission control module at 60k miles went out. I’d recommend you pick up a good aftermarket warranty like Fidelity Platinum. Also make sure to sit in a car with both 14 way and 18 way seats to see which is more comfortable for you. My first car was 18 way, but my 2nd is 14 and I much prefer it.
I normally am not a fan of liveries (seen 50 billion martini wrapped base 911’s at C&C that have never seen a race track or rain), but this one is SWEET!
I personally would not because the anxiety of trying to resell it later kills the fun for me, I never keep any car forever. I passed on a 50th anniversary 991 that was a great deal, because it had 2 separate accidents on the Carfax and had been sitting for 4 months at the dealer. It sat for another month after I passed it up.

Porsche San Diego has gone way downhill since COVID and the madness started. Was a regular customer there and now they treat you like chopped liver when you walk in. Used to go there for service too but same thing, when my favorite SA left I decided to just go the indy route.
I bought a 2012 991.1 C2S with 30k miles in January and had the drive belt replaced to be proactive. It was $585 in San Diego from an independent German mechanic.
Even if this was a salvage title it would be $50-55k.

Right there with you. Cannot fit in a 987, rented a 981 for a week trip in New England and my left leg was cramped. Panamera Sport Turismo is one hell of a ‘compromise’ though, absolutely love that car.
Cayman is an amazing car, that was my dream to own in high school. Unfortunately I’m too tall and wide now and the Cayman is a bit of a squeeze. If I could fit better, I think that would have been my choice.
I think you’d have to get a Turbo or GT3 to make the switch worth it. I have a Carrera S I love, but I rented a C8 for a weekend and was absolutely floored how great that car is. Whenever they come down a bit I’m going to get a 3LT convertible!
I’m 6’4 and fluctuate between 200 and 250 depending how lazy I am. The 18’s were OK at the lower end of that spectrum, when I get higher they are uncomfortable. Maybe I should get the 18’s just as a motivator to stay skinny lol!
