In the picture it isn’t very clear but even though there’s a pole, the gaps are big enough to let emergency vehicles and confused Brits through.

It was amazing. It filled a gap Beavis & Butthead had left behind and way beyond that. I remember everybody at school trying to do the voices and shouting you bastard to teachers.
