Well putting in a nicer oil I would assume id get more performance out of it. Im doing 90% highway 10% city and the manual says 7500 mile intervals doing highway is just fine. And it was designed when oils were worse than they are now. And its only got 112k miles.

As I said in the post, 7500 highway 3500 city. I do 90% highway.
Fuel stabilizer with a full tank. Disconnect battery. Inflate tires slightly above psi reccomended for vehicle but do not exceed the max psi on the tires. Double check your coolants freezing temp.
Its unlikely a bad alternator would cause that, something is wrong with the trans, a mechanic should diagnose it. It may just be low on fluid.
Makes me wonder if I would notice any difference switching from semi castrol 5w-30 to that pennzoil ive seen so much of. Granted its an s10 I would be throwing that nice oil into. But its a low miles one.
Id say so, you could have a completely blown shock and still drive, just would be bouncy as all hell. Thing is, a common mechanic scam is saying your shocks are bad and them squirting oil on them saying its leaking. If it isnt super bouncy or it doesnt leak more oil thats a possibility.
No, the part number is from the manual for the right part.
