Not a Man Utd but it’s so true. Everything works in clicks these days so the more clicks you’re able to get the more money you make. Because Man Utd are a massive worldwide club with millions of fans they’re going to get a lot of clicks so media outlets will write anything for the attention. It’s a sad world we live in sometimes
Feel sorry for Everton fans. Chairman dies under a month ago and now this. Wonder what will happen to Man City and Chelsea now
This is such a myth. I’m not a Man City fan in the slightest and I hope they got brought to justice on the hundred odd charges but they don’t have 2 first teams. Or 22 first team players. They have players that fit into multiple positions and systems because they’re intelligent footballers. If you disagree feel free to names me the two 11’s they’re fielding.
Sterling? We should be talking about JWP
It seems from the other subreddits that there is a split on who to blame. Ten Hag or the Glazers. While I do agree that the system is broken as far as I’m aware the Glazers aren’t forcing ETH to pick and play players so not sure how much they’re to blame for what happens on the pitch. Other are saying ETH isn’t getting his first choice signings or they’re over paying. This happens to nearly every club. Liverpool wanted Caceido but had to make do with Endo.
Shifting the unwanted players is an issue for them but it doesn’t let them get away with the failings on the pitch. I’ve seen people point out to LVG and Mourinho not lasting shows the failings at the top but Mourinho never gets past the third season regardless and LVG got hounded out because the fans didn’t understand his philosophy (LVG stated at the beginning that the first season he was going to set up a defensive structure, second season was about possession and third season would tie it together like at Bayern. But he was sacked after winning the FA cup because the fans were calling for it because of the boring football but didn’t understand the bigger picture he had)
The team Man Utd fielded yesterday was arguably better than Newcastle’s but they had a philosophy and knew what they were doing on the pitch. IMO this comes down to the training ground and tactics and the manager implementing his ideas. Not sure how the Glazers are responsible for that. ETH seems to have the power to drop players and move them on if he wants and also buy the players he wants. He has dropped Sancho and moved on Ronaldo, Fred and others.
People are saying that Pep or Klopp couldn’t make this team play but I disagree. They have set identifies on how they play and slightly adjust according to the players and evolve tactically. It seems ETH is out of his depth but like you mentioned which manager is there to replace him?
No, not at all. People are far too tribal when it comes to football teams and forget that it’s now just part of an entertain industry, especially the bigger clubs who don’t represent their city anymore. Support whoever you want if you don’t have some weird emotional attachment to a team
I’ve mentioned on another comment that I see using numbers to more do with formations. Like a 4-2-3-1 will have a 10 whilst 4-3-3 will have two 8’s. Rather than what they do.
You can’t compare what football earns to what doctors and nurses get paid. We just go back to having a go at what everyone earns in football the and the non footballing fan saying that it’s a disgrace what footballers earn for kicking a ball around. Refs are an integral part of the football setup and should be paid accordingly.
Yea because working in retail and being a PL ref is comparable? How did you even come to that conclusion?
So would you become a premier league referee for £120k a year? Constant abuse from fans, name thrown everywhere if you get any decision wrong (which no matter how good you’re is going to happen because they’re human) being recognisable around the world and being likely to have a random have a go at you for a previous decision. Players swearing at you. You’re happy to do this for £120k?
Why are people picking Vidic over Rio? The only player who is equal or slightly above him as a CB is Terry. He was like prime Virgil for 3/4 seasons. Didn’t make a tackle for something like 9 months because his reading of the game, positioning and strength and pace were world class. The guy is seriously underrated here.

Could put in several links to show how high Rio is a defender. Don’t like him as a person though
It’s fucking bullshit! I’m not a Newcastle fan and don’t care what the result was but that decision was ridiculous. Same as the Fulham game last night and so many decisions this season in the Prem as well as Europe. it’s becoming unbearable. I hate it and it’s putting me off watching football
