@atzanteol @just_another_person i have run into issues like ‘almalinux doesn’t work on this machine but centos does’
some distributions i think have started to remove support for some older hardware assuming nobody is using it (thats my theory)

@highduc @TCB13 GIMP now supports CMYK iirc so that excuse is gone and OpenOffice Calc supports PIVOT TABLES so I don’t want to hear finance dept tell me that one anymore :)

@limelight79 @gayhitler420 my only real nitpick with debian is that the package updates are too slow for my personal taste. for other people, maybe its perfect, but i think ubuntu has just a bit more bleeding edge without being unstable.

at the same time, besides maybe rendering my screen 0.0000001ms faster than X, i can’t tell you anything it does in any way better or different than X
puts pictures + words on screen, yay

@TheGrandNagus @atzanteol I agree with you about purists and poor attitude towards reality but at the same time I’ve been using Wayland for a few years now without personally having issues
