Yes, he can. He’s got the mobility to play the 4. He can shoot as well. He’s somewhat similar to Jaren Jackson Jr. where he’s a big 4 (tho Sarr is 7’1" compared to JJJ’s 6’10") that has DPOY potential and can also space the floor. He’d be a great fit with Duren, the rim protection would be insane. All NBL games are on ESPN3 in the US, if you want to watch any of his games.
I don’t think Portland would trade Jerami for expirings and some 2nds. Getting off of his contract doesn’t do much for them as they’d be over the cap regardless next year and most likely the year after that, depending on how much the cap rises.
Lauri was an all-star last year and is probably going to be one again this year. He’s only 26, so he fits their timeline with Kessler and Keyonte. Speaking of Kessler, he’s been injured this year, which has caused a lot of issues for them. I don’t see Utah trading him because of this, even if Ivey, our 2029 1st, and some 2nds was the offer.
Kuzma is a tough one. He’s had a good season so far and is on a great contract that’ll only get better with time since it’s front-loaded. But, I don’t know if he necessarily fits the character of player we would want and if he’d be fine becoming the 3rd option behind Cade and Ivey when that time comes. Plus, I don’t know if we have the right package for him. The 2029 1st and the Wizards 2nd this year are valuable, but the Wizards may decide to just keep him and look for other offers.
The chance to get Collins passed in the offseason. He’s silenced the criticism of his 3pt shot this year, and it looks like the Jazz need him at PF with how they are handling Taylor Hendricks.
Tbh, I don’t think there is a right option to add a PF rn. Teams don’t trade this early (except for James Harden). I think we’ll see how Bojan looks when he gets back ans use that information to make a decision.
JasonOrionBto Detroit Pistons@nba.space•The Detroit Pistons have only won FOUR games Since trading away Saddiq Bey at last years deadline.English1·2 years ago5 actually. Saddiq traded on Feb 9 last year. Won vs Spurs by 7, Feb 10. Won vs Indy by 20, Mar 13. Won vs Indy by 7, Apr 7. and the 2 wins this year.
The biggest (realistic) miss in free agency wasn’t from not signing a specific player. It was from not trading for John Collins. John Collins was traded for Rudy Gay (salary dump) and a 2nd. We could’ve traded Killian and a 2nd and got him. This season, he’s shooting 41.8% from 3 and could’ve been a solid PF for us for the next 3 seasons.
Another big (realistic) miss was Cedi Osman. The Spurs acquired him and a 2nd for nothing in a salary dump. He’s shooting 41.3% from 3 this season and would’ve provided valuable forward depth.
We could’ve done both of these deals and still had room left over to trade a 2nd for Monte Morris. He is one of the best backup PGs in the league, a career 39% 3pt shooter and one of the league leaders in assist to turnover ratio.
