Was this some iteration of “straight men don’t care about aesthetics, they care about function” type of thing??
Because that’s such a boring existence. I’m sorry your dad hates aesthetics. I hope you’ve found your own tastes despite him.

They’re illegal in my state too, but they based it on already existing traffic laws regarding distractions. For example you can’t have colored lights that illuminate the road under your car.
Also, we’re not allowed to have anything hanging off vehicles externally in case it comes off and causes an accident.
The problem is that ad revenue brings in more money than subscription models ever can. So they’re either super expensive because the company is accustomed to the high profits of ads, OR they inevitably end up slipping ads into the paids versions too.
Youtube has become this venus fly trap where content creators get exploited. They exist on the site solely to draw in viewers to show ads to. YouTube doesn’t really care about the content or their creators(they don’t care about paying them either since there’s endless accounts) their primary function is to sell ads. That’s it.
With data harvesting and personalized ads they basically print money for themselves. Now each ad spot will show something different to each person, meaning they are getting paid by multiple(potentially hundreds or thousands) of companies for each available ad location. They don’t care if you buy the product because they got paid the second that ad popped up on your screen.
Ad based revenue is creating a huge fucking mess for everyone.
They also turned them into oil paint. Mummy/egyptian brown was a thing.

I dont know why people do shit like this. Find some rare, finite resource of information and do just about everything with them except study them respectfully. Eat them, grind them into paint, rich people having “unwrapping parties.”
Humans are so deeply disappointing.
They know if they do that people will just disable their cameras or put tape over it like they already do. If they make it so you can’t disable the camera without losing functionality then people won’t buy the product.
If they try to push it by making a gentleman’s agreement with their competitors to make all tvs or phones use camera eye contact during ads well have to have fight back with more ad blockers and such.
No, I just keep them in a clean spot and they last about a week before they start looking dingy. Then I use a new pair.
I don’t get a lot of earwax though so someone who’s ears make more will probably have to change them more frequently.
Ear plugs have been a life saver for me. I can’t sleep without them now, fortunately they sell them in huge containers so I only have to buy them like every year and half.
It’s not like she’s asking for breast implants or liposuction(or something else that is not reconstructive in nature). It’s lasik, and it’ll help her quality of life, no more worrying about breaking her glasses or losing contacts.
We dont know if she works in special ed where getting hit in the face could be a normal occurance for her. Maybe she struggles with contacts. Either way there are a lot of reasons for someone to want to go that route.
Also, comparing lasik to something like nonreconstructive cosmetic surgery is disingenuous. One is completely for aesthetics, the other affects function.
I wonder if they figured out how to remove the garbage without hurting the blue sea dragons that are living in there.
Obviously the garbage has to get out of the ocean, I just remember that the last I heard about it a few years ago they had to stop because they were accidentally hurting and killing the very wildlife they’re trying to protect. It’s a shitty catch 22 we’ve created, but I hope they succeed. That garbage has been there too fucking long.
That’s a fair assessment, and I can definitely agree with that
As someone from the US i always saw it as people can’t afford to take time off to donate, so compensating them for their time makes it so they can afford to donate.
A few states make it illegal to be monetarily compensated for your blood or plasma, but others it’s completely fine.
Ideally a temp would fill the position while the parent is on leave. At least that’s how my company handled it recently. We still couldn’t wait for our coworker to come back because she was really good at her job, but the work got done regardless of any hiccups due to the temp learning her position.
I don’t have kids by choice, so this has zero effect on me, but parental leave is kinda important and companies that shove the workload onto everyone else is what causes this resentment.
Depending on location, it’s too freaking hot to be doing yard work anytime past 11 in the summer months. 9 - 11am is usually when I get my shit done.
Then again, with my neighbors have a similar work schedule to me, so I guess I’m not bothering anyone.
I don’t know know if you’re in the US, but the junk mail senders here have been making their ads look like official mail.
I had one the other day that said IMPORTANT stamped across an otherwise nondescript, but official looking enevelope. So opened it just in case. It was an ad for some douchbag company stating that it wanted to buy our house for cash.
I always worry that one day I’m gonna toss a piece of mail that I actually needed because of this bullshit.

MlM’s. They’re predatory.
Calling zionism what it is shouldn’t be discouraged with dog whistles masquerading as conduct policies.
At the same time I’d like to remind folks that not all Jewish people subscribe to Zionism.
There are a couple Jewish lead organizations that fight for the freedom of Palestine and have been very critical of Israel for many years.
Jewish Voices for Freedom is one group. I wonder how they’d feel about Twitches new policy. I’m genuinely curious what their opinion would be.
