Avoiding them isn’t gonna do much as you’re not likely to play a game with them again anyway. Also why are you joining games and telling people you’re LGBT? You’re just asking for trouble. Block them, you won’t be able to voice chat with them which is pretty much all you need.
Don’t play with them. I can get toxic in competative matches for sure, but never to someone in my party. I can’t be mean to someone’s face. I play league and I’m pretty bad at it, but I have a friend online who’s good, he’s either emerald or diamond. That guy is super positive. I used to get upset when I would fuck up, but now I just ask him for tips. Why was the move I made bad, or why am I behind, what to do when I’m behind on lane etc. League is very different to OW, it’s not about actual skill with what you’re playing, it’s more about game sense and knowing who you’re fighting against. OW doesn’t have 150 heroes.
It’s a team game, sometimes as DPS you can have an amazing game followed by a terrible one. All dependant on your supports and tank doing their role correctly. Sometimes I totally pop off, because my supports know how to position themselves, and are always there when you need them because they can read the situation, other times the support plays like they’re wearing horse blinders and all they can see is the tank that doesnt need healing.
Same for tanks, sometimes you have an amazing tank that knows how to take space, and when to back off. Other times you have a dva, ball or roadhog flanking like they think it’s still 6v6.
You cannot 100% carry a team unless you’re playing with bronze players. I had a match in gold vs a GM widow who was doing a bronze to gm stream. We destroyed them. How? I was playing tank, got everyone on voice chat, and I gave directions to the team and we basically just line of sighted the widow one trick the entire game, so it was a 6v5.
I’ve had similar results against a GM ball in silver, but I was dps back then. All I had to do was counter pick him lol.
Against a coordinated team you cannot hard carry, even a smurfing GM couldnt beat gold players with just a little bit of teamwork.
Yknow they say don’t blame your team, blame yourself, but if your skill level is above your MMR it usually is your team to blame.
If you go around telling people you’re gay, eventually you will encounter people who do not like gays. You’re angry at statistics. Get rid of the flag and go anonymous like everybody else, or don’t, but you’re gonna have to grow thicker skin and block people more often.
