It really has nothing to do with Goff, though. We just invested a 3rd in a developmental QB project with a much higher pedigree than this guy.

I feel like Kalif has given the Packers fits… Looks like he has averaged 50 yards per game against them as a Lion, which is 47% over his average as a Lion overall. He’s had a 100 yard game against them (one of two as a Lion), a 66 yard game including that bomb week 18 last year, and then hit them for 40 yards on the ground earlier this year.

Not blowing them away, but definitely a case where 90% of NFL fans have no idea who he is but Packers fans think he’s a pretty good player haha (which he is)

That’s kind of just what good teams do… Win 90% of the games you’re supposed to and ~50% of the tough ones. Aaron Rodgers is under .500 in his career against teams that finish at or above .500, I believe.

It’s looking like we’ll get as many as 4 more games against teams that finish with a winning record (or as few as 1 lol). If we can finish 3-4 for the season against them I’ll be perfectly happy.

I’m actually more reassured by his ~12 yard catch over the middle. I believe he’s had one of those in each of the past 3 games.

Like it would be super neat to have a guy who catches a 40+ yard bomb reliably, but he needs to contribute somewhat as an every down receiver to be worth the 12th overall, ya know?

Soldier Field is pretty great! These days the fans are very chill and self deprecating. Don’t be an ass and I guarantee most people around you will say they are pulling for the Lions.
