So he most likely won’t be in this draft but he is eligible. He’s a Detroit kid, smaller college, anything I find the coaches and teammates are very high into his work ethic and prep, he has talked about improving his passing. Small school guy not alot of talent shows great flashes has top end speed and running ability. Depending on our QB situation I’d like to see Dequan as a lions or Jalen Milroe. Bolth guys need development but have that superstar upside. I know we have hooker and if Goff goes or doesn’t I really hope hooker works out. But there are a few dual threat options out there that might be mid round guys like Dequan Finn possibly
The defending MAC champions have an exciting dual-threat quarterback in Dequan Finn. In two seasons as a starter, he’s tallied at least 2,000 passing and 500 rushing yards while accounting for 27-plus touchdowns both years. Finn turned a 3rd-and-21 into a 27-yard touchdown run against Kent State, maxing out at 21.8 mph. He threw six scores in that October victory, too.
Careful, any QB talk that isn’t Goff will get Lions fans all raging.
It really has nothing to do with Goff, though. We just invested a 3rd in a developmental QB project with a much higher pedigree than this guy.
LOL I know it doesn’t have to do with Goff, that won’t matter. Fans will jump down your throat for even suggesting. I’ve seen it on every social sphere. Look at my post on why fans are jumping on people who are excited about Hendon Hooker.
We have 7 picks in the upcoming draft. 1-2 of them should be spent on guards and the rest on defense. Team already has a developmental guy in Hooker anyway.
As a Rockets fan Dequan does not have a future as an NFL QB. He will get to the NFL but probably as a practice squad WR.
