As much as we loved him, AI was ripped quite often. That’s why the whole “practice, we talking practice” got so big. We had some lean seasons in his time here and he got a lot of that heat. As time went on the fanbase realized what we had and the appreciation grew enormously.

Everyone knows Barkley was great. But he’s never in the conversation of the greats cause he never reached the top of the mountain.

Milwaukee and Denver are not used to greatness at this level. We have a high standard due to who has come before. That said, in my 50 years as a Sixers fan, I haven’t seen this level of love this consistently for a player without a title. He is greatly appreciated but it’s time to win
