If we can get him a good slot cb and an average mlb this defense can be elite
He had too, we are very thin on the outside. He hasn’t looked great so far with the limited snaps he’s been getting
If they best SF and Seattle there are most probably winning the NFC. It would require Detroit to lose two more, we would have the tie break.
If we win one more, we 100% will win the NFC. So split the first two, beat SF and Seattle
At most they will have two loses, most likely 3.
If they have two losses, it’s probably going to be 3 nfc loses total. We would have to win 2/5 of our next 5, and one of them needs to be an NFC game. We would only have 3 loses on the season and 2 NFC losses so we would take the tie break.
If they only lose 1 more game, we would have to win an additional nfc game.
There is no juggernaut this year. Last year we were clear favorites in the NFC and only the Chiefs game me hesitation on our chances of winning it. I think we are clear favorites in the NFC again this year, but the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bengals are all real threats.
My biggest concerns for our team are injuries, turnovers, and a garbage secondary. We might be able to fix the first two things here, but I don’t know if we can fix that last one. Even with a garbage secondary we have a good shot this year.
I don’t think we “dodged a bullet” with CJGJ. You can’t assume that he would have had a season ending injury if he stayed with us. Safety has been a big concern for us this year. Also, we signed Bradbury in his place and he looks completely washed. 3-4 times a game he is either getting smoked or grabbing at the jersey bc he is getting smoked.
White was not that great for us last year and Edwards might have been too pricey, but going into the season thinking Dean is going to be your primary LB with no real depth behind him was a terrible choice.
Why not try Brown at LB? He can’t be worse than what we have been putting out there
