No issues with my 512 OLED.

Besides the screen, battery, and 90hz, the buttons and triggers feel better, track pads and haptics feel better, fan is much quieter, menu seems snapper, etc. Lots of other little improvements definitely all add up.
My first though lol.
Really though, it’s my fault for storing my Deck under the bed and not in it’s case. Lesson learned!
I have to admit, even though the whole situation sucks, the timing of it was pretty good lol.
I’ve decided I’m going to order a new OLED model and send mine in to see if it can be repaired for under $200. If I can, my son will inherit it. If it can’t be fixed, it will be permanently docked to the living room TV and hooked up to a Bluetooth controller.
I don’t use the screen (play exclusively on XR glasses) and I almost always play plugged in so the new features will pretty much be lost on me.
Yes.
After having kids I just didn’t have the time or desire to go downstairs by myself and sit in front of my pc.
Stopped gaming for 2 years and picked up a Switch, which allowed me to play anywhere. I like some of Nintendo’s IP, but was a pc gamer at heart.
The Steam Deck is absolutely the best of both worlds and I haven’t played anything on my pc in years because of it.
