For me it’s comfortable.
For me it’s comfortable.
I like my a lot and never had any issues with it. Can’t wait to receive it…
Grass is overrated. Also, it’s snow outside, finding grass won’t be an easy task.
Well, not that I can choose, but I don’t see why people are so hyped about LE. Especially since there is literally a ton of third-party shells of all imaginable (and even some un-imaginable colors). As for my personal taste… this reddish color of joysticks is nice (but I still don’t understand what hue it has… on some photos it’s more like red, on some more like orange, and on some - something in-between), but I don’t like transparent shells.
I’m pretty sure the chargers are the same, but didn’t get my OLED yet, so can’t check.
What a spoiled brat… Hope you will break your deck the next day after getting it, and hope it won’t be covered by warranty. That will teach you a lesson that reputation is not easy to fix.
Because Valve also don’t want to pay custom fees, and they also want to provide support for deck, and for this they need service centers… Logistics can be hard, especially considering that Valve until recently were specialized only on digital goods, and don’t have wide network of physical shops around the world. Maybe it will change over time, but so far it is what it is.
Like, all of them. I’m from “learned English from games” gang.
I’m not special in this regard, Half Life 3.
High heart rate is not dangerous by itself, especially when it only happens for a short time. If you don’t have any heart issues, you are safe.
Well, OLED now costs the same as LCD model a year ago, and imho it makes sense to get it because of all those little improvements they’ve made. But if you’re short on money, LCD is still good, IMHO. If you plan to play a lot outside under direct sunlight - once again, IMHO - it’s worth considering getting an OLED.
Yes. Dunno if it was mostly deck or mostly antidepressants, or both, but fact is - I enjoy playing games again.
Nothing. I’m planning to shop on winter sale.
How do you even use pacman? From my experience every single update overwrites whole system image, and all the packages I installed vanish, as if they were never there. I even had to compile standalone version of Midnight Commander for it to survive updates. Maybe I’m doing something wrong or missing some extra steps to prevent this behavior?
Yeah, releasing an i9 processor looks like a jerk move. I feel like a beta tester for purchasing i386
Have you considered official refurbished?
Well, on steam page it sure looks red.
Well, first of all, when comparing price - don’t forget that you will need a keyboard, mouse and external display to conveniently use it as desktop. And yes, it also means you need a dock, not necessarily official. When I compared prices it seemed to me that you can actually get a laptop with some low-end dedicated GPU for more or less the same money (now LED version of deck have a huge discount, so now steam deck may indeed be a better deal).
As for using it as a desktop PC, you will have to consider two possibilities: use it as is, with SteamOS, or install windows. Difference is that fro example native MS Word/Excel probably won’t run on SteamOS (at least not without tinkering), and you will have to use LibreOffice instead (IMHO, it’s very good, but some people have opposite opinion, so you have to try to to make your own decision). Browser and PyCharm will work natively.
It depends on user’s habits. I have a 256gb for a year and so far I haven’t considered an ssd upgrade, because I have literally too much space (rn I have 8 titles installed, only play one of them, and still have half of ssd free. And that’s not counting emulators and roms). And some people install 1TB ssd and still add microSD card, because obviously 1TB is not enough for them.
