Well yeah there isn’t an issue here that’s just how it works, you can’t fit 60 frames per second into 90 refreshes evenly, therefore some frames will persist for a shorter time to fit into the refresh rate.

30fps is just fine, it’s your attitude that is not good
Here’s the delivery trajectory for my order if anyone is after timescales for one of the longer waits from the shipped on 24th batch. Worth noting this was also stuck in packaged hell from the 18th.

FINALLY! My deck that had been in transit since the 24th has reached the delivery depot, looks like I’m getting it today.
Nope, 24th transit batch here and still nothing
Just spoke to parcelforce and apparently my deck that had supposedly left GLS on Friday the 24th hasn’t even arrived with them yet, very worrying.
Ordered on the 17th, mine is still in transit with GLS since Friday with no movement.
There’s been a lot of cases of them turning up with no tracking so I’m hopeful for today!
I bought mine on the 17th and mine still hasn’t even reached parcelforce
I’m in exactly the same boat
Yes, because it’s still able to process input through the duplicate frames provided by 45fps at 90hz. At 45/45 there is a gap between refreshes where input cannot be processed.
Ordered my 512gb OLED at 3pm on the 17th, it’s been sitting on packaged since Saturday.
Not quite sure what’s going on but something doesn’t seem right, especially as they’ve just lowered the delivery estimate for new decks from 6-10 days to 3-5 days.
Mine is still stuck on packaged too, 512gb OLED ordered on Friday coming to the UK.
Somebody hasn’t used Cryoutilities
Mine is unfortunately still on packaged
I set up a drop and go order for my 256gb on Friday evening and the cash price was at £243, the next morning it dropped right the way down to £150!
It was incredibly lucky that I decided to make that online order for a drop off, took it in to the shop on Saturday and they honoured it just fine. Whilst I was in there past lunchtime they said they’d already had 5 decks sold to them that morning!
I’m sorry but there is absolutely no reason somebody should prefer DeckHD over the OLED and the posts trying to justify sticking with it are getting irritating.
800p is so unbelievably fine for a 7 inch screen, anything more than that is overkill and a total waste of battery life.
Through a ton of testing I have never encountered a single benefit, logic would imply that it should have no benefit due to the way it inflates the swap file whilst simultaneously reducing the system’s use of it.
Theoretically the only potential benefit might have been hugepages being enabled, but this is now enabled by default in SteamOS 3.5 which is why a lot of people are now reporting no/reduced benefit.
I’ve never heard any of these complaints.
Besides that, high refresh rate isn’t just about high framerates. 80hz + 40fps can now be used to replace 40hz + 40fps which means less input lag.
This has got to be the most stupid take yet.
That’s in the game by default, it’s always been there as far as I’m aware. A very strange stylistic choice.
