Ya, I’m indifferent on Dobbs or others and trust the coaches as I don’t think the other options are gonna be significantly better.
The weirdest part of yesterday to me was the defense going more coverage/prevent on that last drive when it’s the opposite of what they did the other 58 minutes.

Thank you, people are making it sound like we are division champs, we need to take care of business but Packers have Giants, Panthers, and Bears left. Vikings schedule isn’t rough either but I expect them to be right around us when we play them again.
They play the Panthers, Giants, and Bears yet. There’s potential there that concerns me more than the home field.
Here’s my take, if the Packers win we have a better shot at the division, but we also have a better shot of being ousted from a spot at all. If the Lions win, we have a worse shot at the division but less worry of being caught from behind.
The last thing I want is to have GB have an opportunity to get in if they beat us and then we lose to the Lions the next week.
I feel like the lions fans haven’t learned the lessons we have so often because they’re rarely even in the hunt for the division, but these divisional games are feisty no matter what.
This hope is different. This is different from the Keenum year too.
I had hope coming into the season, and that got thrown out the window with a 1-4 start and losing Jefferson. All that was left was frustration. I couldn’t understand how I could feel I was watching a better team play worse. The defense was clearly better, the offense still clicked, but we couldn’t get a TO to go our way.
Then the 49ers game happened, and my hope was restored. Preseason I predicted leaving the niners game 3-4, but with a loss to them. We were back on track for a possible division. And on MNF to boot! Who’s next? The struggling Love boat? Bring em on.
Now we’re at Lambeau and it was feeling good…
Something in my brain snapped along with Kirk’s Achilles. It turns out it took Achilles to fix what Pandora couldn’t finish and let hope leave too. I have no more hope, no expectations. I am now a fan of let’s see what happens. I don’t expect them to win today or any game into the future, but I know they can as they have shown a resiliency that I haven’t seen on a Vikings team in a long time.
Dobbs, with this team, coached how it is, has inspired confidence with no expectations. When Dobbs drops back I expect him to get sacked and then he pulls a spin and is 3 yards past the line of scrimmage with a head of steam. I don’t think my brain will allow me to accept that I can expect him to be a starting QB and so I can’t be disappointed. That’s totally not fair to him either, but it’s due to how it’s all played out more than anything personal or rational.
I watched Nick Foles whoop our sorry butts and then proceed to whoop Tom Brady’s too. Anything is possible with a chip, a chair, and a chance.

I fully believe we would have won that SB too w/o bountygate. Imagine if that picture of Brett’s leg surfaces today after all the Brady/Rodgers rule changes.
Eagles not only embarrassed us, their fans treated players families and fans terribly and then tore up our stadium (physically removed chairs, etc.) two weeks later.
Edit: wanted to add that of course you could argue that if Brett happened today the unsolicited pics would have sunk him before we got there
So the KOC play calling is interesting. I started thinking it was a Zimmer issue where we’d take our foot off the gas and let teams creep back in. Then Zimmer left and I thought, oh, well KOC is different so it must be a Cousins decision making issue. Then Cousins’ leg fell off and now I know it is a KOC issue as it was a Zimmer issue. They’re very different coaches overall, but coaching with a lead is run, run, flat far too often with both. I’m sorry Kirk.
