In the 20+ years I’ve been cheering for the Vikings, the number of times I’ve rooted for GB I could probably count on one hand without using fingers… and I’ve definitely never cheered for them to beat the Lions. These are strange times indeed.

Must be an unpopular opinion but I can get on board with this

I want GB to be just good enough that they decide to overpay Love and handicap themselves financially long term

    Chess not checkers

Here’s my take, if the Packers win we have a better shot at the division, but we also have a better shot of being ousted from a spot at all. If the Lions win, we have a worse shot at the division but less worry of being caught from behind.

The last thing I want is to have GB have an opportunity to get in if they beat us and then we lose to the Lions the next week.

    Nope, never cheer for either.

    If Lions win, they win.

If we need someone in our division to lose in order to win then why even bother with a wild card. Either be good enough to take on all teams or fluff your couches to watch it from there.

    Whoever earns it, deserves it.

I mean, no need to use the word “cheer”, let’s not get crazy here. Do I want them to win to give the lions a loss and hurt their draft position for next year? Yes. Will I be cheering for them? Absolutely not
