This is very unusual and they’re no way you should need to travel 20000 blocks to get something different. Are you sure you aren’t either using a mod or confusing the type of biome you’re getting? Jungles are usually not all that common in general
I use the book since it lets you shift click to auto craft the maximum possible items. So it’s much faster than manual crafting.
java edition is the more refined, polished and orignal version which you should 100% use to begin with. Minecraft for Windows (also known as bedrock edition) is the multiplatform, glitchy mess of a version with no redeeming featured.
all you need to do is boot up the launcher, select minecraft java edition, and then hit play, assuming you’ve bought it already.
the fact it’s truly self driven. There absolutely nothing forced by the game. It’s the only game i own where every single thing you do because you CHOOSE to do it.
I also appreciate just how much content and complexity there is in the game, t really makes it something special. The crafting system is so cool and how you manage resources.
well you need iron tools to get diamond and diamond tools to get netherite. There are 2 main ways to get diamond - the first is digging down to just above bedrock and mining a tunnel until you find some (called strip mining). I personally don’t like this method, even though it is technically more efficient, since it feels very boring.
The other method for finding diamond is to find a large cave that goes down and follow it as deep as you can and then just run around looking for them - they get more common the deeper you go. They appear in smaller numbers this way, hence why it’s less efficient, but i much prefer it since i can see them better and get other ores too.
As for netherite, you need to be in the nether and dig down to about level 14 (you can see your coordinates by using the F3 key on java edtion), and strip mining until you find ancient debris which can be smelted into netherite scrap. You need 4 ancient debris and 4 gold to make 1 netherite ingot, to upgrade 1 diamond tool to netherite.
alternativdely you can find ancient debris/netherite scrap in piglin bastien chests in the nether. You will need to find these bastiens anyway to upgrade your items, since you need smithing templates from the chests there to upgrade the gear. A smithing table can be used to upgrade once you have all of these items, but i recommend getting some enchantments on your diamond tools first since netherite is harder to get so combining enchanted tools is harder to do if they are netherite.
any other questions about what i’ve discussed and i’ll be happy to answer then if i can, and there’s also the minecraft wiki with more information than i could possibly give.
