What do the bucks even practice? Dame is always there on the wing. Cam missed him twice and by the time he swing it to dame, the defense was closing out. This happens every time. What are they doing at practice? It genuinely makes no sense. How are you not looking for Damian lillard?
Can someone explain to me the logic of leaving one of the best 4th quarter players in NBA history on the bench for half 5 minutes of the 4th every game?
I couldn’t care less if we come back and win. Every single problem that was there game 1 is still there 17 games later. No excuse for being down to this historically shitty blazers team missing their best player.

Even if he was fully healthy, I don’t think the team needs him. Yes, in a perfect world, his type of elite shot making fits, but when you have Dame, Giannis, brook and Beasley, all of whom get on absolute heaters, where does Kris fit into this considering how regressed his defense has been? It’d be a clear cut answer if he could keep anyone in front of him but he’s a traffic cone right now. Any good defending 3 or 4 who can knockdown shots at a serviceable clip would probably make this team more complete, Vs Kris coming in when dame is out to try to force his offense and find a flow.
This gets trotted out a lot, but there truly is one ball, and giannis barely wants to share as is.
Ajax was playing good defense and making great reads. Obviously griffin thought “unacceptable” and benched him to run a 3 guard lineup of Dame, pat, and Payne.
Ajax just did 2 great possessions, so griffin is gonna sit him for the rest of the game
Also, jayson tatum is playing through something that sent him to the locker room multiple times.
Trying to pull morale victories out of this for a championship team is not it. The issue is it’s been 15 games and literally every problem that was there in game 1 has persisted. Giannis has not changed the way he plays whatsoever, griffin is still running dame out there with Beasley and sometimes even cameron Payne just begging to get scored on, etc…
Positives: obvious bucks won the trade. Jrue was a non factor.
Negatives: it’s pretty clear why giannis wanted Griffin, he’s not going to actually coach him. 15 games in and he still doesn’t look for dame at all during fast breaks or his “put my head down and run at the rim” plays. He has not adjusted his game for his superstar teammate literally whatsoever.
During our run in the third quarter, Giannis killed any shot at a comeback. He’d grab the defensive board, look off dame clearly asking for the ball, slowly walk it up the court, and then spazz into the paint and turn it over. That killed any chance we had at a run.
Griffin played brook in drop against possibly one of the worst guys to do it against, porzingis. He left Bobby out there to get absolutely destroyed every minute he was on the court, and half our possessions are just “1 pass, ISO”.
There is no offense being run here. Griffins brain is stuck in the mid 2000’s when he played. This is a hideous offense that is only 5th because all of our role players are over-performing from 3 and we’ve had a relatively soft schedule.
Whether he made the dunk or not, the game was over. Easily winnable if we didn’t play the single dumbest brand of basketball for 3 1/2 quarters.
For all the griffin supporters, please answer me this. What is our offense? What’s our offensive philosophy?
Bobby has been awful.
Twice Giannis looked dame off after the rebound and decided to initiate himself, both times it resulted in a turn over.
Griffin the defensive genius. Play brook at the point do the screen against guards, have him in drop against elite shooting bigs.
Kris doesn’t have it anymore on defense.
I’m sorry, but we have Dame and Giannis. I watch the Celtics and the offensive philosophy is obvious. It’s clear what they want. I watch the bucks and I have no clue what the fuck anyone is doing half the time. No movement. Nobody besides dame is looking for anyone else. Kris, Lopez, and Giannis shoot every time they get the ball. It’s hideous and easy to guard by a good team like the Celtics.
Don’t worry guys, dame just starts slow. /s
This game is going to illustrate the difference between mazulla, a coach who knows what he’s doing and has an identity for his team, and griffin.
I love dame, but this is just not correct, where are people getting these stats?
Over his last 8, he is averaging 27 and 8 on 2.5 TOS a game, on 42/36/91 shooting. Still solid #s but definitely below his standards. His rim finishing is no where near what it was last year, but hopefully that’ll come with time. Last year, every layup he put up went in, he’d completely mastered the English.
This year in just 17 games I’ve seen dame get blocked on more layups and jump shots than I’ve seen in his last 3 seasons.
