Hey I actually did know that I just forgot lol
I’m not too proud to admit I don’t even know what that is. Someone take my IT credentials away
Something AI powered too for good measure, I presume. Ahem. “AI”.
Are you calling me American bro?
Don’t forget an EDR solution because the execs are too embaressed to ask what it means so they buy it to save their egos
Now that you mention it, it’s Checkpoint. I got them mixed up. Corrected
There’s an old joke in infosec about wanting firewalls made by every different nation. You want a Cisco device, that has back doors for the Americans, a Huawei device that has Chinese back doors, and a Juniper device with Israeli back doors. Put them all together and you should be good
Acrylic is my favourite bar none. I live domed acrylic. I wish I could get a river made by Tudor, or Omega or someone with acrylic.
Not interested in Longines, Oris, etc
I fucking hate micro brands and think they’re absolutely stupid and cringe. “Micro brand” is an attempted reframe of something with no appeal. It’s an internet, social media, dropshipping enabled trend chasing.
I don’t think established brands are value for money, or investments or whatever (another hot take I guess) but micro brands are just money down the toilet and kidding yourself.
Hot take 3: Seiko is now almost as bad as the micro brands. They were awesome when they just were what they were. Grey market 007s, 009s, Sumos, Samurais etc. Now that they’ve tried to jump on the hype train and are marketing dozens of recased 4r36 movements with bright colours, the magic is gone. They’re just another marketing machine pumping out garbage
I like the wear I’d keep it if it were mine.
Related; I like relic’d guitars. Many hate them
Uhh no, it’s pointing out that the expensive mechanism you paid so much for adds nothing other than the intangible feelings you associate with it.
That’s some serious cope you’ve got there friend
There’s no utility in a luxury watch that can’t be delivered by a 100-200 quid quartz one (and that’s allowing for a lot of flexibility). So like, your Tudors, Balls, Omegas etc have no utility that these don’t have (except in very niche circumstances).
So anyone claiming utility from their Longines or Sinn is lying to themselves
Man I love a Seiko diver but I’d also be quite happy with a BB54 as a one watch collection
Looks great dude! I’m leaning Oyster too. Suits it great. Keeps it utilitarian
