  • Riyadh can’t be the new TI unless they host a big crowd like TI does. I think people have forgotten because we had TI cancelled once, then played with no crowd, then we had the worst TI production, but TI12 was different people all over the world travelled to watch the best teams of the world play.

Yes, Riyadh has the biggest prizepool but they barely had 200 people in the audience. TI was still the most viewed event of the year. I believe both of them can exist together, TI is like the worldcup but Riyadh can be the premiere league.

  • This post isn’t to flame anyone, but I remember watching before game 3 draft started. I was watching with my highschool friends on discord, four different people from 4 different continents. I remember watching Team liquid line up to enter the arena when my friend said “Gg, liquid already lost, look at their faces, they didn’t reset after the last game.”

I watched the vlog today and he was 100%, correct. Every single person in the room didn’t want to be there. Micke regrets his last game, he’s sitting in. corner think “fuck I ruined it”. Then Blitz asks him"Are you ok?" It almost feels sarcastic.

I realized that I’ve probably never said that to my dota mates. It’s always been “fuck that guy”, “that hero is so broken”, “this fucker is too tanky”, “we almost smashed them with their meepo”, “upper bracket is for bitches”, “they’re just a bunch of monkeys”, “anything can work”, “fuck them up”.

It got me thinking if Ana fucked up would Ceb and notail sit across the room and ask if he’s ok. Would kuro do the same?

I love team liquid but they’ve probably played 50k+ games collectively, but no one in that room knew how to take a loss.

  • OpenAI in its former state is very limited. The mode that got exposed to the public had lots of people defeating it, even though it defeated OG. We can always learn to beat it, its strength was the limited number of games it had played. What openAI learns over hundreds of thousands of simulated games, we can learn over a couple of replays. If openAI trained it fully and made TS play a BO3 it might win, but I highly doubt it will make playoffs if you put it in a tournament.
