Due to ongoing federation issues I’ve temporarily moved to @ZeroCool@Slrpnk.net.
Oh yeah, this decision was definitely made months ago, they were just waiting on the verdict.
Hopefully we’ll hear from Kevin Feige soon about whether he’s going to be recast or if they’re gonna pivot away from Kang entirely. Personally I’m hoping for the latter. Kang hasn’t been very interesting anyway.
All this dude had to do was not be an abusive prick and he would’ve come out the other side of the MCU with more money than some small countries but he couldn’t even manage that.
Normal people: Serling. Although it’s often understandably confused with ‘Sterling’ as that’s a more familiar word and sounds very similar.
Idiots: No, no, no, I am from a parallel universe.
We made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers, and Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!.
Should’ve just been him all along. It’s wild that this took three years to happen. I can’t believe they managed to fumble this transition when they had Ken the entire time.
Rather than focusing on a singular Black Panther, The Eyes of Wakanda will tell the stories of multiple warriors who “have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts” from different points in the nation’s history.
I’m in. That’s sounds like a great chance to tell some cool stories.
Died = to pass from physical life: expire
Monday = day of the week between sunday and tuesday
After = following in time or place
Brief = a short period of time
Illness = sickness, an unhealthy condition of body or mind
Andre Braugher was a very talented guy. Getting him on Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a huge win and without Homicide: LotS his comedic turn wouldn’t have been funny in and of itself. As much as I like the entire cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine I think he was the only actor whose character would have turned out wildly different if it had been played by someone else.
I’m currently deep into the 7th season of Scrubs right now and I was just thinking what series I should start next so it looks like Brooklyn Nine-Nine is gonna be it. R.I.P.
I don’t have cable anymore but while I still did I swore off Shark Week and Discovery Channel as a whole after they deliberately tried to pass off a fake “documentary” called Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives as real. I did the same with Animal Planet a year prior when they aired that fucking Mermaid “documentary.”
despite your weak attempt at a derisive Jeff Foxworthy reference.
Oh no some rando didn’t like my Jeff Foxworthy joke!
Yep, sounds like the Streisand effect. I’ve been watching him on The Boys for the last four years and never realized he was Jack Quaid as in Dennis Quaid’s kid. And I certainly didn’t realize his mother was Meg Ryan.
“Don’t call my baby a nepo baby!”
“Wait, the guy from The Boys is Meg Ryan’s kid?” lol
That doesn’t change the fact that they’re nepo babies. That’s not even a counterpoint, you’ve just listed examples of nepo babies lmao.
Plenty of struggling actors have a good work ethic but don’t have powerful/successful mommies and daddies giving them a foot in the door, Meg.
It’s not dismissive to call him a nepo baby. It’s just a reflection of reality. It doesn’t make him a bad actor, it’s just acknowledging he was privileged by being the son of two very famous actors. Besides, [puts on Jeff Foxworthy mustache] If the biggest hardship you face in your life is being called a “nepo baby” then you just might be a nepo baby
I think he’d be fine as Reed Richards but, eh, he’s also going to be 50 before Fantastic Four even comes out. If they aren’t going to give us a young F4 team, and age isn’t an issue, then why not just leave Krasinski in the role rather than relegating him to a variant that got thirty seconds of screen time in an otherwise forgettable movie.
To be honest this news has me kinda baffled. Pedro Pascal is a great actor but I figured the only reason Disney/Marvel could have for not just giving the prime-universe Reed Richards role to John Krasinski after MoM is if they wanted to cast a younger actor, not go in the opposite direction. If this news proves to be true I’m not gonna be mad or anything but it’s just unexpected and feels a bit odd.

Text:
Hey all!
It looks like most of you had difficulty reaching the site for about 5 minutes, but those issues should have subsided.
During that time, you may have been shown an incorrect error message that read:
Whoa there, pardner! reddit's awesome and all, but you may have a bit of a problem.
Make sure your User-Agent is not empty, is something unique and descriptive and try again. if you're supplying an alternate User-Agent string, try changing back to default as that can sometimes result in a block.
To share some additional context on what happened - we pushed a bad code change in our tooling that resulted in a significant amount of users getting blocked without doing anything wrong. So if you happened to see that error message within the last hour, don’t fret! We’ve reverted the code change that caused this error and things should be back to normal very soon if they aren’t already.
The conclusion is correct (don’t glorify the Confederacy) but the argument is really shit tier.
It’s not a sincere argument. It’s a joke. And it’s probably best not to overthink a light joke mocking the confederacy.
lol if I were a betting man I’d put my money on this movie disappearing from theaters as quickly as it arrives but doing just well enough that Shudder steps in to produce the sequels. This has “announce a trilogy and hope we can get the last two made as Shudder originals” written all over it.
But hey, at least it seems like they’ve got enough sense to pretend ‘The Strangers: Prey at Night’ didn’t happen.
