If you think Randle is passing out of double teams just because he gets “stuck”, you either don’t watch the games, willingly lying of one of those Randle haters.

From another fan on the topic:

“Per Cleaning the Glass, Randle has assisted on 25.6% of his teammates’ scores this season (98% among Forwards), which is higher than the team’s 2 PGs, Quick and Brunson and his Assist to Usage Ratio is the same as Brunson and barely below Quick, and when adjusted to position, neither of those is in the top 50%.”

Brunson could average 10+ assist if he was a more willing passer. I’ve seen him ignore wide open guys to go get his own bucket. I’m not saying that’s a horrible thing but he isn’t a pass first PG. And Randle averages more assists than him so they’re either somewhat equal or Randle is better, someone here shared numbers that literally proves this.

You make a lot of excellent points, Randle is decent at post ups and passing out of those, while passing out of doubles isn’t always perfect and can sometimes result in turnovers. I agree if our guys cut more he’d rind then soon so it doesn’t look like he’s passing out of desperation.

My one critique of Randle when he has the ball is his tendency to over dribble when facing up opponents or trying moves, like spinning that result in turnovers.

Also those stats are crazy! Thanks for sharing!

I wonder how Randle stacks against other PFs when it comes to passing.
