I think it depends on your needs and use case. Are you housing critical data? Using in a harsh environment? Are you okay taking on a little risk? Only you can determine if it’s worth it.

Drain n fill. Don’t flush. There’s no such thing as lifetime.
Only because we were in the market for a new car. The cheaper fuel and convenience of charging at home was a bonus. Not gonna lie, I feel like the environmental benefits are little to none and that wouldn’t sway my purchase either way.
I wear it like 23.5/7 haha. Just take it off to charge when I shower.

1·3 years agoIf you’re only putting one in I would pick D. If you’re putting 2 then also A. The reasoning is D is more central and you can run the cord outside too incase you have family/guests visiting that need a charge.
I just installed a sub panel in my garage and put one in A and D so I’m ready to go. The cord is long enough so I can reach just about anywhere in the garage so the charge port location on the car doesn’t really matter and I can reach well out into my driveway.

1·3 years agoWiFi extenders are hit or miss. It’s so hard to say because everyone’s house is different, different layout, different materials, and different issues to start with. They’re worth a shot but not ideal.

Home Networking@selfhosted.forum•please advise. An office room receives a good wifi signal from an existing wifi network, but all the devices in the room lack wireless NICs. What do you do?English
1·3 years agoSorry to sound like an ass but your friend is dumb. Use that line and put in a switch to hardwire everything. It’s your cheapest and most robust option. If it’s really too bothersome hen run it along the ceiling so it’s out of sight.

1·3 years agoDefinitely doable but sitting at chargers gets old pretty quick. We did it for 6months before I finally got our charger installed. Now it’s a whole different ball game.

That’s partially why I took a gamble on buying a Tesla. Was sick of the dealership games coming out of the pandemic. Between the waitlists. Games of advertising cars that don’t exist to bring you into the show room. And market adjustments because they can. No thanks. I’ll take my chances with Tesla.
