The NFL couldn’t have blocked Modell from keeping the history, colors, name, etc. All that sort of thing was destroyed when Al Davis beat the NFL in court in order to move to L.A.

I agree with you the name, etc. should stay in the city, but Cleveland’s lawsuit didn’t compel Modell to leave anything. Polling in Baltimore convinced Modell he was better off starting a “new” franchise here instead of being the Baltimore Browns.

The Browns defense is for real. I don’t think their offense can put up many points on our defense. Which means this is the kind of game Harbaugh puts an emphasis on not losing. I expect the offense to be fairly conservative. Watson’s not what he was in Houston, at least not yet, so I think the Browns turn it over twice, the Ravens don’t, and the Ravens win 28-13.

It’s hard to say. With the exception of the tail end of 2018, when he replaced Alex Collins as the main back as the Ravens changed to the Greg Roman offense, he’s never been the main back. They acquired Ingram the next year, and drafted Dobbins the year after that. The Ravens have also moved away from having a feature back, preferring a committee approach (as have many other teams).

The Ravens liked him enough to extend him, which says quite a bit in this era.

He’s not a Chubb or Barkley, but he’s a very capable RB who consistently provides positive yardage. I can’t think of a time he’s gone backward after contact: he falls forward. In some ways he reminds me of Eric Rhett, because, like Rhett, he extremely consistent at getting positive yards whenever he touches the ball.

It’s a Harbaugh team, so expecting a blowout of bad teams is folly.

They should win comfortably. Whether the final margin is 3 or 20, the Ravens need to control the game from start to finish. Don’t make dumb mistakes, and put the ball in the end zone. Though, because I have Tucker on my fantasy team, a few field goals wouldn’t hurt.
