@fmstrat @fireshell I’ll personally use only office if needed (I have to use a pptx or docx file), but appart from that LO is perfect (and latex can be great too depending on what you’re doing)

The promotion of homosexuality to small children may be seen as inappropriate, since you would not promote anything else sexual to a 6-year-old (it is grooming). But for some reason, some extreme-minded people think a kid who does not have any idea of sexuality and does not know how to read yet, should still already choose their sexuality and therefore homosexuality needs some coverage in primary schools and kindergartens. If that’s what the line refers to, I think, it’s pretty normal.

@boredsquirrel I personally use neither of those, but I’ve had to fix issues on computers running both.
I can tell that the apple GUI is clumsy, but sadly inevitable when you want to do stuff. I would always lose time trying to tile or move windows without success.
At least in #Gnome, it’s #linux so you can fix everything without being forced into using a badly designed GUI and a lot of things work well. Though you’d better not be looking for some customization on Gnome, but if you bought an apple device you’ve already kissed customization (and fair prices) goodbye so to me there is no real question between the two in terms of user experience.

You’ll have an “out of date” system (i.e., one-month-old) but packages from the AUR which are made for the up-to-date system.

Quite a nightmare to use IMO (and that’s not talking about Manjaro leadership and certificates problems)

@Dariusmiles2123 Damn, good luck with your employer. Some force their workers to have #fairphone phones to lower their impact, others force to have apple phones to … uh … well, not the same world.

From what I have seen, running an apple VM is completely feasible but painful and uses pretty much all your memory :/

I’d actually recommend https://wubuntu.org/ instead, because
1 — the interface is, of course, tailored for Windows users
2 — the distro is made in such a way that you can install like you would on windows (double-clicking an EXE installs it through compatibility layers)
