I’m sure there will be a lot of people in here making excuses about lost players and about offensive struggles not helping the defense. While true, our defense is pacing to be DEAD LAST in the league and we just got diced up by one of the worst offenses in the NFL. That unit is becoming a serious problem.
Which team shows up for us? If it’s the team that showed up against the Bills and Niners, we’re fine. If its the team that showed up against the Texans, we’re in trouble.
I believe it’ll be the former because every time I start to doubt the Bengals the last 3 years they come out and prove me wrong. Time to do it again I guess
I’m not all that concerned with the trap game thing this week. Yes, we play Baltimore next Thursday. But there’s no “looking ahead” to Baltimore. For one, we’re last in the division so we need to win both games (need conference wins bad), not just beat Baltimore. Second, Baltimore is a division opponent. There’s nothing about them we don’t already know, we just have to show up and show out when we play them. No need to do sneaky prep for them this week
On the one hand I fully believe the NFL is turning a blind eye to him using HGH or something similar to accelerate his recovery because the story would sell (elite HOF QB playing in biggest market overcomes odds, the books/movies write themselves)
On the other, I also think Rodgers is an attention whore who would absolutely be acting this way even if a return was completely and utterly impossible.

Yoshi is a great little story but he has 3 catches for 14 yards on the season. He’s not shown anything. I like him, seems like a fun dude and has gotten some redzone looks, but nobody has any idea if he can be an every down guy. At this juncture its more likely that Irwin wins that job just based on the fact that he has a track record of production when called on
