Really, really hoping this game does well for the team. I’m also hoping it has a smooth launch, because this is a game I’ll be supporting day one.

In other words, Warner Bros has learned absolutely nothing from their recent Suicide Squad failure. One would think that after the first time they forced a single-player focused dev team that regularly produced hits to make live-service garbage, they’d have learned something. Hogwarts Legacy wasn’t even that good of a game, largely due to the live-service elements it already had, but it sold way, way more than Suicide Squad.
Into the Spiderverse was pretty stellar though, and Across the Spiderverse was a good sequel. I’d say both are on par with the original Sam Reimi trilogy, with the caveat that they are fully animated productions instead of live-action.
You’re looking too hard for a controversy that isn’t there. This is a Sony live-action Spiderman adjacent film. All of them have been terrible. Madam Web is terrible too.
People criticized Venom, Venom 2, Morbius, and now Madame Web. People will probably criticize the solo Kraven movie whenever that comes out too. It’s not a conspiracy against women, it’s that Sony seems to fundamentally not understand how to make a good superhero flick.
Maybe someone here could refresh my memory. I could have sworn that during 2020 campaigning, Biden indicated he would be a one term president that would willingly let a younger Democrat run for 2024. I haven’t seen anyone really rake him through the coals over that, so maybe it was some misinformation that was spread to make him more attractive, but I feel like it was a really key reason I felt comfortable supporting him.
I don’t really understand the idea behind adapting what is basically a movie into… another movie.
Not to mention, this game was livestreamed and recorded to hell, you absolutely can just watch it.
I guess someone really thinks the plot has merit, despite it being an incredibly generic horror plot? This just sounds like a really dumb idea thought up by an out of touch studio exec, so I guess the FNAF movie did pretty well.
Nah, that comparison is way too mean to Canadians.
I’ll admit to arrogance on blu-ray, I have never owned a blu-ray player. My assertion was in regards to DVD, which I do still own a player for and use reasonably regularly. I don’t seriously think anyone is buying DVDs for the purpose of quality, since afaik they are still only 1080p max. At the very least, most of the DVDs that I personally own are still SD, and as such look about as good as 4k streamed with compression.
It’s not going to mimic the revival of vinyl, because vinyl has been revived by audiophiles who can appreciate the quality afforded by the format. Unless your internet moves at a snails pace, you’re unlikely to see any increase in quality between streaming and owning a DVD/Blu-ray.
In my eyes, this is a battle of preservation. For very crucial, personally important media, the only two ways to obtain permanent access to the content are owning a physical copy, or downloading a pirated copy. All other access is temporary, and can be taken from you by the company. With that in mind, the only real question is whether you want to financially support the same companies who put us in this mess by making legal digital media an ephemeral product.
Have to give my recommendation for Laika. Easily one of the most innovative metroidvanias of the year, and one of the most stylish of all time. It can get a bit rough towards the end, but it’s usually because the developers expect you to use every single tool at your disposal in high level combat encounters. At the very least, everyone should take the hour to play through the free demo, and experience the power of parrying bullets with a motorcycle.
It’s not a pact to discriminate, it’s that they’re a high traffic area that tries to quickly treat people through the path of least resistance.
That’s great if you have visible, obvious issues like a missing limb. If you have anything internal though, forget it. The bevy of tests they’ll need to determine anything will take multiple days, so as long as you can still walk with assistance they’ll do their best to shove you out the door and tell you to schedule an appointment with your doc, regardless of how much pain you’re in.
You can definitely learn basic levels of programming without getting too deep into the math, enough to put together simple programs that can automate small tasks.
The issue is that math is incredibly important for enterprise level programming, particularly for optimization. Programs you write for yourself can be slow, inefficient beasts that hog way more resources than they need. If you wanted to write code as a job though, you’d need to be able to find the line between speed and accuracy, and that can require some complex math.
This is a pretty big admission of failure, which is good to see. I’m a little worried it might be too little too late, considering the community has been on fire for at least six months and grumbling since WH3’s botched release. The fact that CA is willing to put their money where their mouth is will go a long way, though now it confirms that the price hikes were the result of unchecked greed and were not necessary, contrary to previous letters to the community.
Doesn’t this pretty clearly allow Vtubers to get as horny as they want? Their avatars are all fictionalized, but that feels like it’s going really far over the line of what Twitch used to be.
Well it’s good that they were able to find a scapegoat as for why their bland and uninspiring magic shooter didn’t make any money, now they can get EA to greenlight more mediocre games.
The thing about really good games is that it doesn’t matter when you release them. If they’re exceptionally well made, people will find them and play them. Immortals isn’t even the most interesting magic Doom clone on the horizon, with Witchfire already looking better and more interesting.
It seems inherently wrong to destroy the old world again, but now that we’ve crossed this rubicon Mists of Pandaria classic is nearly a certainty, and that should be exciting.
It’s already too late. The time for us to shut this shit down was Diablo 4. Now that Blizzard knows their fanbase of rubes will pay extra for a headstart, expect to see this as the norm for all future releases.
Thank you for this enlightening and horrifying imagery. I will keep it in mind the next time I’m near a horse.
Are horse legs actually fragile, or does it take a lot of effort to break one?
If fragile, I think people are overcomplicating this. You’ll probably get fucked up in the process, but once the horse is crippled your grim deed is done. If they’re not fragile and you’ll need to seriously wrassle them down to exert enough force, you’re almost certainly dead.
They’re getting downvotes because they’re implying that people with a disability can’t return their carts, which is ableist as fuck. People without a disability might not know this, but you can just ask for assistance at the check-out, and someone from the store will typically help you to your car and bring the cart back for you.
