Microsoft is banning unauthorized third party controllers, so that may help alleviate some of the problem(though I’d assume more of them are on PlayStation since that is more popular).
The issue with that is that it negatively impacts accessibility controllers and niche gamepads like for fighting games.
If it’s an officially licensed one or otherwise approved it won’t be an issue. From what I remember they did give a date that they were going to start blocking them. It sucks for the people who aren’t doing anything wrong, but it makes sense. Microsoft has spent a pretty penny acquiring fps titles, it’s in their best interest to do everything in their power to curtail third party devices like a Cronus or a xim.
