To pry open the team content conversation again for a second:
If you like this. If you like some of the stuff we were doing during October. Subscribing helps. Clicking on the thumbnails when you see them helps. Watching more than the first few seconds of the video helps (a ton).
Dota team content is in a weird spot because it’s hard to show ROI. Both internally (ie - Why would we invest in this over a Valorant piece) and externally to sponsors. We were really fortunate to have stuff go well in October, especially with YouTube Shorts. Those numbers help us convince people to do more. But we can only really do more if the support is there. It’s a business.
I’m pretty proud of the team, the year, and this vlog. So thanks for those of you who have been watching us on the 2023 journey.
We have written Dota articles on teamliquid.com but it’s… Never going to set the world on fire. I think every now and then there is space for great articles, writing, and journalism. But it’s dying both in terms of author and reader.
Facebook is great for SEA and SA audiences. We post stuff there because it still gets traction with those demos.
SEA Dora viewership is actually huge. My number 1 YouTube region on the TL channel is the Philippines.
