Toronto heard the score from Boston game and trying to eliminate us by losing hard i guess
Ok, that is enough Nets, you can stop now. Seriously…
Thank you O’Neal!
JB slowed down a little so does the team. We needed JT to make it a 40 points lead, not happening i guess. Still this is fun, i hope Nets win.
This win is simply beautiful, it is a pitty we have to rely on Nets after this.
Man i am almost happy that Tatum is not at his day watching how much fun the others are having now.
Al’s boy is even cuter than his father.
We are up 17 already so now I have to check other scores constantly
Neemias Queta will be starting center by the allstar break.
(It worked well for us about PP as a backup, so I am trying something here…)
Yeah, you are right, the rotation is keeping DWhite with Jaylen. I am ok with that too but I still believe Jrue is a better matchup with KP and Jaylen, especially because of his defense and rebounding. (There was a post like a week ego about three man lineups around the league and that three was near the top of that list but I am lazy to find that now.) So i am just hoping for that small change in Joe’s. rotations but no complain either way.
There you also pointed out the reason why JB-KP plays are so good for us going forward.
Well, if we managed to limit Giannis and Dame like this every time, he actually might play this well but it doesn’t matter in that case.
The thing this sub don’t really think about is what Jaylen’s role means, especially this year. His plus/minus can get better, but it will never be too good. He shares the court with Tatum less than others and well, he is not Tatum. (As you well said, rebounding and defense also plays a role in the difference between lineups.)
I really like what Joe is doing with the rotations this year. JB-KP duo takes on non-Tatum minutes and actually that holds better than last year’s non-Tatum minutes. Their connection really means a lot to the team and they demonstrate lots of potential there. One thing lacks in that duo is ball-handling which is supposed to be provided by Jrue or DWhite. For the last few games, DWhite wasn’t around and Jrue was not really himself, that is when Jaylen’s performance and numbers dropped. But Jrue-JB-KP lineups did really well before that and I think mostly that will be the case. I am expecting a division between Jrue+JB+KP+bench and Tatum+White+Al+bench when resting the starters. The others might change but Tatum and JB will take turns and that will hurt plus/minus for JB for sure but that is a good plan.
You are spot on about rebounding, that is one point we need to figure out about the rotations. (That was also the only thing hurting us this game.)
I liked our offense. All the hunting on Dame, Beasley on Kris, good ball movement and PnRs, playmaking from JB… I liked our defense too, made Dame, Lopez and Giannis work for every shot. The only thing we need to work on defensive boards, this was a blowout in the first half if not for those second chance points with offensive boards.
This could be the best JB game while Tatum was suffering from illness but also prob to Al Horford and Sam. Horford was the secret hero of this game, as he usually is against both Philly and Bucks with all the right things to do and Sam is again a sniper.
ahaha, I wasn’t liking the last 5 minutes but that is a perfect ending so I love it now.
Now Lillard will go for a 3 and one which he won’t get
Oh, I was feeling like something is missing in this game but couldn’t find out. Of course a tech to KP! Thank you refs to remind me.
Horford, as always against Philly and Bucks, is the secret hero in this game.
Turnovers imply that we lost the focus a little bit. I don’t blame them, they are in full control from the beginning but we need to tighten it up for last minutes. A needed time out.
