Not going to pretend I wasn’t calling for Canada to be fired but… I do kinda feel bad he got fired right before Thanksgiving. There’s no good time to lose your job no matter your income level. Still, this might be the best move for him moving forward. Hearing “Fire Canada” shouted across the country for the entirety of a season has got to be brutal on your mental health. He can take some time out of the limelight, and go back to coaching college where the pressure will be much less. Wish him well on a human level.

I am really starting to think Kenny Pickett’s ceiling is Chad Pennington. Accurate and risk averse. Good story if he can turn it around but man this can be hard to watch.

Prior to this year I would’ve said that the online Steeler threads are a vocal minority of the fan base. Hearing “Fire Canada” chants at both home and away games on the national broadcast makes me think most of us align on at least that point lol.

Josh Dobbs is an awesome backup. I know a lot of the other comments here are talking about his record, stats, etc. and they’re not wrong. But Ben loved working with Dobbs and I vividly remember seeing them cut to Ben and Dobbs working together after a bad offensive possession so many times. Happy to see Dobbs getting a chance.
