Going the conservative route repeatedly (Fox, Nagy, and Poles) has done nothing but bring losses. What’s the downside in making a splash like this? Honestly.

His QBR has regressed this year and it is generally an accurate measuring stick of elite QB play vs everyone else, as evidenced by the current rankings. On a side note, you can either believe Purdy is actually good or he’s an outlier.
He’s usually running for his life after guys get open and then are covered again.
Those Rex Ryan teams definitely had Bears vibes.
My bigger issue is who will get him and Moore the ball enough to keep both happy? People be acting like Fields is going to transform into some distributor of the ball all of the sudden when he can hardly consistently target Moore at this point.
There’s a near zero chance that any team drafting first takes Nix, though. I’d put money on that.
No point in drafting a QB outside of the first. They rarely pan out. Either you’re in or out on Fields.
So what you’re saying is that Fields needs an elite roster around him to win games. Something the Bears are nowhere near having. Incredible take.
Source: Trust me, bro
Moore is the only one who can consistently catch his throws because he is often off target/doesn’t throw a catchable ball. Even the big “drop” yesterday would have required an acrobatic highlight reel type of play to catch. And before you go off about how it’s the receiver’s fault for slowing down, the receiver “misjudged” the ball because it was supposed to have more loft to run under it. He does this crap all the time.
Look at Stroud’s numbers and supporting cast. Eh doesn’t he have all these excuses? Because he’s a good passer and doesn’t need them. Personally, I’d rather have a QB who is elite at throwing the ball and not running read options.
Still had 334 yards of offense. Still had to use his legs or rely on Moore to generate offense. Still not a distributor of the ball.
They would have to go 4-3 the rest of the way to get to 7 wins, which I don’t see happening. Winnable games and winning games are two different things, and I doubt they sweep all of their “winnable games”. 5-12 seems about right to me.
I fell in love watching his highlights. Kid has it all. Size, frame, big arm, quick release, accuracy, mobility. Reminds me of a bigger bodied Aaron Rodgers.
OP when they made this post:
