on Max or Pro chip?
I think the aluminum they use now is more resistant to cosmetic damage.
I go caseless + screen protector since my first iPhone and I remember having a lot of chipped aluminum or dents on my 6S 3 to 4 months in.
The 14 Pro i’ve been using for the last 14 months is literally brand new.
Glass back feels much more premium, I wouldn’t go back to all aluminum tbh.
if you turn on power saving mode when you’re doing light tasks the laptop runs forever at 50% brightness.
I find myself doing that like twice a month so it’s not a concern at all, battery life is phenomenal for the power these machines have while producing minimal heat and being completely silent.
meh, you can already create an hotspot from your phone.
People still get scammed in other ways, apps that are bad actors aren’t the problem.
If it didn’t happen thru sideloading an app it would simply happen by accessing a website.
what exactly is there to do on the iPad that you cannot do right now without sideloading?
the only thing I can think of is Apple’s $99 annual fee to develop for their platforms.
Nothing just did this to look like they were responsible for Apple changing their stance on RCS. They moved according to the deadline the Digital Markets Act imposed.
End of the day be it bad or good publicity they got what they wanted.
It already happened but just didn’t made it to the news.
Johny Srouji already? they ain’t playing
is Tim on black AirForces lol?
he said the words
As soon as Johny Srouji is on screen you know something insane will happen with these new M chips.
In a perfect world this iPad Mini gets a M2 and a 120Hz display but it’s better to start dreaming about that in >2026.
the fact they bought the exclusivity of the 3nm chips means they’re serious about dominating.
if they want to gain more share in the laptop market they need to keep delivering on the raw performance and positive sentiment for years, makes sense.
that thing looks really hideous even for a concept product
it always been the design for many, their OS and hardware simply destroys the competition.
Even before I only remember seeing iMacs on schools.
And I bet most schools aren’t updating their hardware so often. Students rarely take on projects you’d consider ambitious and big at schools that require powerful iMacs so it’s more of a learning tool.
Together.
It says M3 Pro and Max Macbook Pros and a base variant M3 iMac.
I think iMacs aren’t expected to ever get the Pro or Max variants. They will rather upsell people to a Mac Mini/Mac Studio + Studio Display/Pro Display XDR.
3rd party apps outside the App Store (hopefully we get this next year)
