Apple keyboard is terrible on all levels. I have no idea how or why it’s that terrible. The personal dictionary on Gboard and Swiftkey is a million times better.

Apple needs to adopt a lot of stuff. A starting point can be Samsung GoodLock.

I think a lot of things Apple has done today on the iPhone wouldn’t have been allowed with Steve. The protruding camera and how the whole camera bump looks awkward, notch, and what the iPhone has become. Apple went from a company that was very focused on the product to a company that cares less about the product. Apple today seems like they only care about pumping out products and printing money and way less product focused. Personally, I don’t think that’s such a great look.
Apple talks a big game on privacy. But takes money from Google and sends iPhone users search query to Google.
There’s a list of things.
It’s not that unique. Qualcomm and Iridium have SAT communication for Android devices. It hasn’t been adopted yet.
I’m not buying it. Apple wants to be in control of EVERYTHING and doesn’t want to actually compete. I’m all for giving options and freedom to the consumer, user and developers.
Third party app stores have their uses. Their are some app stores like F-Droid that only allow free open-sourced apps, some 3rd party app stores won’t have as tight as rules as Apple app store and could let devs offer their own payment structure in-app which the Apple app store does not allow. Or some 3rd party app stores may not allow or have to require Apple’s proprietary frameworks in order for the app to function. This is similar to Aurora store for Android.
I think it’s funny how people that don’t know Android will talk a lot of shit on Android. What you said here is one of Android’s main features you could say. Google updates it’s apps and some system apps separately outside of OS updates. Google also has it’s apps on both mobile platforms. I have no idea why Apple over the years never figured out or leaned more in this direction. They are more than capable of having doing this. I think it’s a bad look when regulation has to be done to try and fix these things. Apple has had a long time to have done these things on their own. Now they are being forced to do it and they are not happy about it even if it’s good for the users.
