I don’t like the new updates because they feel like they’re forcing you to download mods that I wouldn’t have even finished reading the title of on a mod website.

Luckily, I mainly play Java, so I can play the good versions.

My people! The new updates feel like they’re forcing you to download a bunch of mods I don’t care for. I liked the update that gave us blast furnaces and waterlogging, but it was already going downhill before then.

I haven’t played a lot recently, and the little I do play is on really old versions because the new stuff doesn’t feel like vanilla anymore.

The new updates feel like what I would expect from popular mods back when I played the most, so it just doesn’t feel right.

So I’m probably on the opposite end of not liking vanilla anymore.

I know it wouldn’t be 1-to-1 in the connections. It is eDP on both ends, so I’m hoping I could just solder the cable that works with the display to the connector on the one end of the official framework eDP cable. I’m pretty sure I saw somewhere that the official cable is 40-pin on both ends, even though it doesn’t use the touch screen connections on the mainboard, so I assume I could do something similar.

Would I be able to connect the different pins with GND in their name to each other for an easier conversion, or would that cause an issue? Would I be able to do the same with the pins that have identical names (3x “BL_PWR” on mainboard vs 4x “BL_PWR” on display connector)?
