  • AGMs are actually worth the squeeze even on a car that doesn’t necessarily require one, they’re genuinely good-ass batteries. Expensive, though. But they’ll blow the pants off a lead acid in a stress test.

Also lots of cars have an option to toggle the auto-off. Not all of them though. And some will reset it every time you turn the car on and off.

  • Even if you want a ring, we got wooden rings. Cost like $100 for some really nice ones with fire opal inlay from an online craftsman. I’ve already cracked mine a little by being a dumbass with heavy car parts so I’m just ordering another. It’s cheap, and on top of that if I had dropped a brake rotor onto a gold or metal ring it might have gotten flattened and trapped on my finger. The wood just cracked a little and flexed right back into its original shape.

If I had a lathe and some motivation I could even make my own, but I’m happy paying the relatively modest price of a single Benjamin for a well crafted ring with inlay.

  • Ooh, also changing your post after you’ve already replied, into something completely different. Real classy. Definitely real stable genius kind of behavior.

I’m going to say this once, nice and loud and slow for you and everyone else in the back seats : Repeating a lie over and over again does not make it true. Doubling down on a lie when called out also does not make it true.

Now I’m going to do the intelligent thing, that I should have done the first time we had this exact same argument: Enjoy your block, we won’t be interacting again.

  • I entered SS13 with the ssethtide and I stuck around past the worst of it but I haven’t logged in since probably 2021. Is it a good time to come back and see what’s up? I enjoyed high population servers and a lot of people were leaving with the tide around and before when I did. What’s an average server pop these days?

The overcomplexity of the game is part of why I love it so much but it’s also what drove me off of it, because I couldn’t figure out how to run an offline server to practice roles and I wasn’t trying to do my first day of engineering or doctoring on a public lobby if I could help it. I had a lot of fun in Mining and Cargo and occasionally just faffing about as an assistant helping Botany grow weed or bringing monkeys to the chef - but I’d like to learn “a real job” one of these days (he says, knowing exactly how pissed off everyone gets if mining or cargo either die or are understaffed). And most folks didn’t usually seem inclined to adopt assistants, unfortunately. Remember folks, adopt wandering assistants and then spay and neuter them because unattended assistants will cook their hands off trying to break into the armory.

OP’s account is less than 24 hours old and already contains two articles from nonreputable sources and a complaint urging people not to trust the reputability watchdog. Even if I am overreacting, that’s a bad look.

Also, nobody said it has to be state sponsored. Nongovernmental actors propagandize shit all the time. People do it all the time for free in my home country, and I guarantee you’ve experienced the negative effects of it, because this is why you hear things about American conservatives every day.

A citizen who cannot trust their news cannot act. And a citizen who cannot trust an independent fact checker cannot trust their news.

I’m not sure why it’s enough of a bug bear to take even the short amount of time it took to make this image and post it.

OP and others like them are seething at the fact that disinformation is more difficult now, you used to be able to post whatever insane bullshit you wanted and people might engage with it, now you’ve got a great big old banner at the bottom of your post telling everyone exactly how much bullshit you’re spewing.

They’ve been outed, so now they’ve taken to attacking the credibility of their watchdog, because if they want people to continue to engage with their propaganda then people need a credible reason to distrust MBFC.
