sni5qzmz13BtoSteam Deck@hardware.watch•❓How many of you are still using the LCD version and won’t upgrade to OLED?English1·2 years agoI am back to using lcd version. I left my dek doled to charge when I got it. It was in desktop mode and when I connected it to dock and tv it defaulted to showing desktop mode with duplication to second screen.
I have transferred KDE’s configuration files from old deck so it had never turn of displays turned on.
Oled dek developed nasty but in. VALVE is sending new one as we speak.

Now people can see how bad your camera is.
In general you must own OLED pannel version of every device once you get used to 0.1 Ms response times. Any movement of camera with the mouse will be crystal clear instead if how blurry it looks on 3ms IPS.
Perfect blacks are meme. And peak brightness is also meme. Anti glare counting isn’t meme and you will probably end up buying foil or etched glass for that.

Billions must buy. So we get steamdeck 2 and 3.
I bought deck with half screen working for about 100 USD.
OLED deck was for 650 USD on used market last week. There were 2 of them. The one I bought was from journo who had written it off as expense. Wanted 110% msrp of 512g version without tax and tarrifs.
