I agree I dont have many gripes with the current chassis. I still use my T480s, which is big and heavy compared to todays thin and lights - but its completely fine for me - and if I could keep upgrading that laptop I would.
I think my biggest gripe with FW at the moment is it just kind of looks cheap. I havent felt it, so I cant comment, but im a snob about build materials and keyboard, so I havent decided to spend the money on a FW yet.
If they came out with an “upgraded” chassis that makes the old one look like a toy Id get one for sure.
For now im waiting untuil I can get one used for cheap.
It can definitely handle it. Ive got a 3060ti and a 1440p 165hz monitor and it pushes it over 100hz in even the most demanding games.
What OS are you running btw? Linux support is high priority for me, and ive heard sleep states arent great on the FW. Hoping it was fixed with the AMD version.
Those panels you linked are all 60hz I believe
oops, yea on second look they all are 60hz, except for a few which dont list it (so im assuming 60hz).
Maybe Ill eventually just get a FW16 instead.
How do you think the stock panel is for light gaming? A few others were complaining about ghosting.
Ugh, well is there is one company that would offer an upgraded screen - im hoping FW will be the ones to do it. Is the panel good enough for light gaming? Or is it bad even for a non-gaming display?
Have you checked to see if there are any drop in replacements available on panelook.com?
Here’s all the 13.5" panels - maybe one of those would work? https://www.panelook.com/sizmodlist.php?sizes[]=1350
True.
