Valheim. I could never in my life get into survival/crafting games. Not even Minecraft. 240 hours later it’s among my top 5 of all time.

Anyone’s left stick click no longer working? Was fine last night before the update
Valheim for me. I played 240 hours of it solely on Deck so I’m well versed in how trash it used to run. Even after some good updates, I’d still bounce around in the low to mid 20’s in my base which wasn’t even very fancy or large. All of this with most bells and whistles turned off, as well as low settings.
Dude, this morning I set the FPS cap to 30 and turned draw distance and vegetation to high and I am so fucking pleased to report it stays at 28-30 in my same base. It is amazing. Couldn’t be happier.
Am I doing something wrong or does the Deck’s FSR not work now? I’ve tried two different games that I’ve set to windowed and lowered the resolution and the FSR slider does Jack all
Just FYI I couldn’t recreate this by just simply turning wifi off rather than doing the full offline mode. Left it in sleep mode with wifi disabled all night and I just turned it on and it’s fine. I’ve booted a game and put it in sleep again and I’ll check results at lunch time (I’m at work lol). If it continues to work then I guess it’s safe to assume it’s offline mode causing the bug?
My friends and I spent 1k+ hours on this MP on PS3 until like 2015. Most fun I’ve ever had in a multiplayer game honestly.
Oh yeah. Much like you I’ve been a console guy for my entire gaming life, but I’ve also loved my handhelds so very much. Proud PSP junkie of the late 2000s and early 2010s. The Deck has just simply changed my desire to ever play anything else lol. I feel way too locked down on a dedicated console. I love physical media but I hardly see the point anymore because I don’t have the time to properly enjoy them. The Deck is the end all handheld I’ve always wanted that sacrifices nothing at all by being a handheld - which is the problem that literally every other handheld ever always had - so yeah.
I’m sure I’ll get the occasional console for Christmas or for a very specific exclusive now and then as life goes on, but the Deck is my end game.
